Certainly conjecture. Just saying it would not surprise me. Our passing game ills aren't just gonna drag Goff through the offseason mud.
Given an opportunity to actually call plays yeah I'd wager he could jump at it. I think however McVay is tired of rotating OC's under him to help plan the offense so maybe he makes an effort to keep him?

Welp time for Staley to take the big seat with the Chargers. I get that he was successful in his one year stint with us at DC but I would have thought teams would look for more of a “proven commodity” so to speak. No point in dwelling on it, it is what it is. Whoever we hire as DC is going to inherit a shit load of talent.

The rams broke the NFL first with hiring mcvay a very young talented good looking in shape type ken doll.
Now that's like the in thing and honest question doesn't mcvay have like the largest coaching tree of anyone maybe ever. If you so much as have coffee with him your a candidate for a HC job.
And I also hold mcvay accountable for Kingsbury had he not asked him to join his OC position the birdies wouldn't have even hired him. Am I missing anyone?

Head coaches:
Staley
Laflauer
Taylor
Kingsbury ( I know but mcvay was on it first)

Anyone else?

And with trading the rams opened the flood gates with all the trading that goes on in my opinion. Started with what's his face ...ogletree.....Watkins etc.

Never know. Either way we can probably read into things if O'Connell is allowed to go with him.

The Chargers O wasn't bad... Could keep Pep Hamilton and others on that staff since they did such a good job with Herbert.

I was just coming in to say exactly that I'd remembered they had Pep and it's good to keep coaching consistent IMO for a young QB. I'd wager he keeps Pep but brings one of our guys for his DC.

Does Mcvay try to pluck from a different defensive approach to gain knowledge for himself?

Staley's defense was so effective this year. Finding multiple ways to create pressure. And the secondary was absolutely awesome to watch how they passed things off.

(Was that Devante Adams route for the TD illegal? - he is definitely moving forward before the snap)

Mcvay obviously plucked from Fangio but he also found Staley who was a former QB.

Lol I get you man and I think you covered most of, if not all, of them. Everyone is trying to find the next McVay type of hire and the easiest place to look is at his current staff. I get it, I would do the same. It’s just super crazy to me how quickly these guys are moving in and out. I wish Staley the best of luck but he’s no longer a Ram and I couldn’t care less about the success of him or the Chargers going forward.

I was just going head coaches but if you add assistant we could probably field a team.

No wonder Goff struggles and the offense in general they all come learn mcvay and then know how to play us lmao
