Not singling you out, (seen it from several posters), but what are you basing this on?
An assumption that since he's older, it must be happening, or what? I've not seen it.
TRhat said, I doe seem like Tutu always has to slow up to catch his passes. Guy's just too fast!:laugh2:
Long passes are mostly timing. For some reason, Stafford's timing with Tutu is way off. You can always overthrow a receiver no matter how fast he is as long as you can throw a ball 50 yards in the air (I can't). Tutu would always outrun my passes lol.

I can't say I watched all Stafford's games as a Lion but I watched a few and it's just pretty obvious he doesn't quite have the arm he used to

Again, it's a decline, he can still chuck it better than the league average, probably more top 12-10 now when he was closer to 1-3 when he was younger. His velocity seems a little slower since he became a Ram too. Maybe I'm wrong but I think it's easy to see when you compare him to when he was with the Lions.

maybe if Tutu were 3" taller, some of Staffords passes would be in his hands instead of over his head

timing is def an issue but I don't think it's the predominant one

That's the thing though, Stafford rarely throws it over his head. It's usually short.

The obvious benefit from that is Tutu gets a lot of PI calls. But with him and Staff, it's like 80% underthrown balls.

I think part of the issue with Tutu and Stafford timing wise is that it is well documented that Tutu has had difficulty getting past press coverage, so its kind of hard to build that timing when he could be bumped from his route or if Staff reads the press and Tutu blows by it, he'd be late

All he has to do is throw it in front of him and it's a TD. Ain't nobody catching him after he gets past the safety.
