Between regular season and the playoffs, Burrow has been sacked 63 times. We have to hammer that guy and then hit him again. He's not that tough, so sorry, I'm not worshipping at the altar of Joe Burrow.
So far have watched their first eight games and they compiled a record of 5-3 to that point. I will try but don’t know what I would see in the nine games where they went 5-4 that will give me any other impressions.

The times I saw Burrows go down, he went down hard. Real hard.

He is young so can wiggle out of the pocket at times but good lord the dude has taken a beating this year.

Mixon is just not going to run his way to victory.

The more I watched the better I felt.

Burrows had thrown 199 times without an interception. Then literally threw three in a row one for a pick six against the Bears. Pretty odd.

There's a big difference between Namath and Burrow in that Namath was cocky and more flashy, whereas Burrow is simply confident.

I remember Joe Namath as a kid that SuperBowl. He guaranteed a win...AND HE BACKED IT UP in white cleats!:laugh3:

I’m really looking forward to your assessment of the second half of their season. That should give us an even better picture of where they are right now.

I don't think he's cocky, but to say he'll be immune to nerves and pressure is insane to me. It's human nature.

Side note - I think its a huge double standard that Joe Burrow's demeanor is praised as "cool under pressure" but Jay Cutler back in the day was "he doesn't care". It's the exact same demeanor lol.
Cutler did it with a scowl, Burrow does it with a smile.

Was rooting for Burrow in the AFC playoffs. Would've rooted for Bengals IF the Rams hadn't made it. But strongly cheering against him this Sunday and I'm purposely skipping any news of any Bengals hype.

Joe burrow isn't even the reason the bengals are in the super bowl.
Their defense has caused 8 ints, fumbles from opposing QB's in 3 games
And given him short fields to FG's
The Bengals offense has produced 4 passing td's , 2 int's - 1 rushing td and 12 fg's.
But it's the Joe Burrow Super Star Show with the ignorant lazy media.
Kurt Warner is the only person I know to bring those facts to life
when he spoke to a speechless dumbass in Stephen A.

Well everyone has two things right? :)

i watched a few more random games during season and the divisional and conference playoff games.

Mixon did much better in the second half of the season. He certainly has his moments.

I hadn’t watched the complete AFC championship before this viewing. I saw that meltdown was all about not keeping the throttle down. It may have been a horrible decision at the end of the half to try and score instead of taking the easy three.

Twenty unanswered points coming from behind was wild. And Mahones was just horrible in the second half.

Seems like the Bungles had to scrape up a win almost every game this season. But they got the win.

Still believe our team leaders will be the difference in this game. Couldn’t really see any solid team leaders with the Bungles.

They do have one hell of a kicker. Team MVP to me.

GO RAMS!!!

Any team that survived Murderer's Row known as the NFC West and came out on top against a tough-fought, physical opponent like the Niners to get to the Big Show will win the Super Bowl.

The Rams are going to hammer and out-fight the Bengals because they just came out on top against a very, strong team in the Niners. This is the battle-tested and hardened trench experience the Rams just went through.

It will be the same when it comes to the Bengals because the Niner provided that blue-print to the Super Bowl and the Rams beat them at their own game.

Burrow is a far better QB than Cutler ever was and he's still green as F. He's a better QB than most QBs in this league in fact. Top 3 QB in year two is special. It just can't be argued IMO.

But I'm also really fucking tired of the media nonsense with him. No QB is great with a rush in his face. Mistakes will be made and if the Rams can make him hold the ball by removing his early reads it's game over.

So IMO Bengals are gonna get their scoring drives. Key is keeping those to 3 as much as possible and wearing his ass down. He's resilient and an intense competitor so it's gonna take a full 60 by the defense, but I think our defense is ready to handle this guy.

That's exactly what my Niner fan friend said before our game. I'll take it.

That was why I was so nervous to face the Niners in the NFC Championship Game because had we taken care of business on the last game of the season and won, the Niners would not have been in the playoffs.

And ironically that was the great thing to face the Niners in the NFCCG two weeks ago and came out on top because the Rams are hungrier and nastier this time to finish the job.

AD, Whitworth, Kupp (who missed 2018 SB), OBJ, Floyd, Von Miller, Ramsey, Weddle, Stafford and most of all McVay will not be denied the Super Bowl win this time around regardless of The Year of the Tiger diatribe out there.

Rams will will their destiny as Super Bowl LVI Champions.

I hate him until Monday morning, then he goes back to being my favorite non-Ram player. He’s a stud and seems like a cool dude.

The Bengal OL hasn't faced a 4 man DL like the Rams. Donald, Miller, Floyd, and Gaines, any one of these guys can get Burrow. If this DL dominates they will take over the game and Burrows passer rating plummets when he's under pressure. He could end up like Murray with a case of Donald phobia. A couple of turnovers will could potentially seal the game.

The Rams can play 7 in coverage with 2 ILBs taking away the short zone and spying on Burrows, backed up by 5 DBs. I'm hoping Rochell will be available which will give the Rams matching speed. If Joe has to hold it for 2.5 seconds he's going to be dead meat. Even the Cards might have a better OL and look what the Rams did to Kyler. Keep contain and get in his face.

I have no doubt the Ram offense will score. But this game will be won or lost by the defense (barring offensive turnovers). Those betting against the Rams are all saying they expect Stafford to turn it over one or two times. Matt just has to take what is given or throw it away. The only way the Rams lose is if they give it away.
Excellent comments and exactly right imo. Rams' pass rush is the crucial advantage over wunderkind Barrow and the Bengals. Even if he handles it ok it should still have a big negative impact on his completions and make it hard to go downfield. If he handles it badly, game over.

Then it's up to Stafford and other Rams not to give the game away with turnovers. Stafford just has to play within himself and not make terrible decisions or throws. Throw it away if necessary. He can do it.

McVay needs to do his part by running the ball and by calling a good dose of short passes to a mix of receivers including Akers and Blanton. Set up the big plays to Kupp and OBJ. Don't get greedy with risky passes (such as the near interception on the bomb from inside our 10 yard line in the 4th quarter against the Niners.)

D-line brings the heat. Offense plays with balance and holds on to the ball. Rams win.

They both SMOKE. Well sort of. LOL.

Well I'm not comparing talent, comparing attitude. But yeah agree w/ everything else. Even today @ work everyone appeared to be on the Bengals. NOT ME.
