So, if the Rams would have started 2-0 and had a 75% chance to make the playoffs, and then lost the next two, isnt it the same as being 2-2 the way the Rams did it?

If you start 2-0 and lose 2 straight weeks then obviously your chances of making the playoffs is going to go down from 75%..

I don't know what the stats are but I do know this:

2-2 with BOTH wins against the top division teams is badass. This is a huge advantage.

Now sprinkle in that we did this in the first games of our OC, QB, o-line and without many of the key players we will have going forward?

I don't think the math will matter.

A decisive win yesterday put to rest the bashing of players, draft choices over others and a certain head coach. For that it makes me happy. We all know patience can wear thin but this particular head coach has stuck to his plan and we are seeing it come together. 2-2 is solid so far.

If Todd Gurley is healthy there is no way they don't make the playoffs.

It's better than 0-4! But let's worry about next week first. Player talk isn't a reality yet with the Rams ability to lose games we should/could win.

Not nearly as good as 3-1. In what will doubtlessly be a dog fight for a playoff spot, the embarrassingly poor outing in Washington could prove disastrous.... OR it could prove as a crucial learning experience for this young team. We have a "soft" stretch after the bye week. Let's hope the boys prove it was the latter.

So you caused me to google, @Elmgrovegnome ... found this snazzy official looking but at least colorful chart.

36% of 2-2 teams made the playoffs. Winning this week puts it all the way up to 50%! And also winning game six puts it back to about the same percentage as 2-0...63%.

As bad as it sounds the Washington game is the only one we really deserved to come out of there with a loss.

They deserved every bit of a loss against the Steelers. The offense looked worse than it has in years, and if they wouldn't have gotten their shit together in the 2nd half yesterday it would've been the same.

Here's our pessimist. . . Our offense played bad in that game and still we were in shooting distance. Our offense had multiple game changing drops. Lance makes his catch and I believe we win that game

We should have fucking destroyed them. We played against Micheal fucking Vick for close to half the game, and they're not that good of a team. We scored 6 points AT HOME. 6, with a grand total of 258 yards. We deserved every bit of the loss. There's pessimism, and then there's reality.
