For the record, i don't think he's done anything wrong either, but what he doesn't understand is that he's now a professional. There is a certain amount of responsibility that goes along with that. No one(including his employer) is asking him to change who he his...but in this world of zero privacy, celebrity and social media it is the responsibility of Johnny Manziel to act accordingly with respect to the organization that pays you to throw passes and to act in a professional manner when your actions are made public.

He can talk, walk, sleep and fuck in a bed of money all he wants behind closed doors. Be a hypocrite if you have to...but the term "keep it on the DL" has more meaning today than ever before. He's has obviously not been given any guidance or intelligent advice since cashing in on the NFL on how to behave in the spotlight.

RG3 ran a 4.41 at combine... Johnny? 4.69. But he's nimble as all get out... I still say he gets crushed.

Now I actually think Manziel is going to be a very good QB in the NFL and IMO the Browns needed some sizzle. Keep in mind they asked Joe Willie Namath to tone it down a notch too although I've always felt Namath was overrated. Manziel will get the message that he needs to focus on football, but before we start judging let's see how this plays out because as soon as he makes a great play and the Browns beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh they won't care if he does an instagram in sheep's clothing.

He actually did a couple of things wrong.

He embarrassed the Browns for one thing, and the fact that he can't wrap his thick head around that is a HUGE red flag.

The other thing he did wrong is he lied. He said he was going to stop that kind of crap, he flat out said that he was putting all of that behind hime in the interview he did with Gruden when Gruden confronted him about the off field stuff.

The Browns just handed him a 4 million dollar signing bonus and a few days later his dumb ass is in that video with money in his ear.

No thanks on Mr. Football.......his actions are selfish and reckless and I'm guessing that there are some guys who are looking forward to planting his narrow ass as soon as he breaks out of the pocket.
 
Told you guys, this guy is Ryan Leaf 2.0. Lots of talent, but isn't capable of controlling himself and won't listen to anybody but numero uno on how to run himself and just like Leaf he'll run himself right out of the league because numero uno is more important than football.

I was watching some Johnny Manziel highlights and noted how he looked pretty decent going through his reads - he is going to get destroyed if he tries to run as frequently because he won't be quick enough to avoid the more athletic LBs that will lay in waiting. RGIII will need to be a pocket passer this year because that burst will be diminished.

I respectfully disagree. TAMU runs an Air Raid offense which is the type of offense that TTU ran for years with success and Houston ran with Case Keenum when he put up unreal numbers. It relies on spreading the field and quarter/half field reads. The QB's job is to get the ball out quickly to his primary read. It was something you saw often with Manziel and is a big reason why he had such good stats in the pocket. He would go through his first progression or two and if they weren't open...he ran. He wouldn't scan the field. He didn't really do much reading of the field post-snap. He read his quarter or half and if it wasn't there, he scrambled to allow something to open up or to run.

That doesn't work in the NFL. Teams can match-up to the spread and disguise their looks way too well. Plus, with the athletes on the DL, he's just not going to be able to run around until a WR opens up like he did in college.

His mental game needs to improve significantly for him to be successful. He can't rely on the two reads and run style that he did in college. He has to start reading the entire field pre-snap and understanding how to read it and manipulate it post-snap.

I know Rams fans (including myself) who overlooked Leonard Little's multiple DUIs and killing a woman. Manziel hasn't done anything wrong when you really think about it, IMO.

Perspective is needed, from where I am sitting at least. If Cleveland is smart they'll let him be himself and keep him on the bench until he really knows the offense. The guy is underrated in terms of how hard he works. I am not gonna bet against him, in fact I think he will end up making a lot of folks who doubted him wrong.

Multiple DUI's?

That's not true, I'm not defending his idiotic choice to blow a red light while drinking and kill a person but he did not have multiple DUIs.

What Manziel is doing is proving he isn't ready for the job......and that's not good.
 
He's not really doing anything *wrong* in the sense that it's illegal or reckless, but he is acting like an entitled bitch and that's not going to sit well with the veterans in that locker room. Act like a celebrity when you've earned the status. Until then you just look like kind of a dick.

I dunno he has done some underage drinking and casino gambling and was dumb enough to post that online too. And let's not be too quick to dismiss the whole signing paraphernalia thing that just got swept under the rug as fast as possible. Those are illegal and reckless things right?

I think he enjoys his image too much and knows he isn't ever going to live up to it so he doesn't give a fuck and isn't going to stop being an asshat. I think he's just going to fade away but just not fast enough ala Tebow.

His style has never translated to the NFL. He won't be breaking new ground IMO.
 
He can act like a bitch all he wants, but don't do it around the camera. Its a tough thing to do for some of these kids. [cough Hard Knocks cough]
