So far, with all things considered. Who is your zero to hero player for the Rams in 2020?

I can’t pick Blythe, because he was already the hero stepping up to play center when Allen went down, and his run blocking is what I’d expect of him.

The most broken thing on the offense last year was the line, for which they did next to nothing to improve.

Knowing that they spent a pick on Akers, you’d think they intend to run the ball, and considering the draft capital spent on him, I’d say expectations among fans and coaches alike are high.

So if I had to choose someone to turn the ugly around, it would unfortunately be Allen.

No pressure:)

Sloman

Somewhere along the way... he kicks a big one or two.

Couple different names to shake things up...

I’ll go with Edwards on offense. Goes from promising rook to exceptional pro.

On D, Darious Williams turns heads and eventually wins the starter job from Hill.

Rookie: Lewis goes beast-mode and is in the running for DROY.

Too Many picks listed here are not Zero's

I honestly think one of our ILB will be one of the unknowns that become Pro Bowl level.
Which one? Well one of them needs to be successful for the Rams to compete.

Ethan Wolf.

Playing, seriously tho...I like Troy Hill or John Johnson.

I'd go with Everett. This is year 4 now. The light has to go on for him. Right?

Next I'd go with Blythe. I really like his play at center. He was also pretty good at guard in 2018. Why he wasn't so good there in 2019 is a mystery. The whole line had problems though. Havenstein especially regressed.

1) A'Shawn Robinson is 6'-4" & 330 lbs and only 25 years of age. We've needed a stalwart in the middle capable of stuffing the run for too long now. Additionally his presence should cut down on the number of snaps Donald is double teamed & sometimes even triple teamed.

2) On the other side of the ball, I look for Havenstein to regain his form. He played hurt last year and was not effective - ultimately giving way to Evans. When healthy, big Rob can be a devastating run blocker particularly in tandem with the Higster. The flip side is that he can be vulnerable to speed rushers on passing downs. That said, if our running game is thriving, we won't have to throw the ball as much.

3) Cam Akers - one never knows for sure how well a college player's skills will transition to the NFL. However, I really like his chances given his ability to gain yards after contact. If he flourishes early, he'll be ridden often. I'm sure Goff has his fingers crossed ..

On Offense, I pick Reynolds. He's going to be expected to help from day 1. And I'm a big Van Jefferson fan too. They love JR in 12P too, his blocking etc.

On defence I pick D. Williams the ball just find his hands folks

I really think Cam Akers will be a top 12 RB this season. Henderson fills the 3rd down back in a big way. Lots of splash plays

oh and 19 wins to boot!

Defense: DWilliams at CB. He came on strong at the end of last season.

Offense: Akers. It HAS to be, right? Without a solid threat in the run game, this offense just doesn't work.

I’m going with Travin Howard/DB Williams and Ebukam. I don’t have faith in the run game or offensive line I really believe if this team is gonna make any noise it’s gonna be because of the defense

A lot of interesting answers! I see one of those kickers we picked up having a major impact this year.

David Long Jr.

I think he makes his presence felt out on the defense.
great pick!

David Long Jr is my answer, not only because he’s an Michigan alumn ( really isn’t a factor).

Guy has an amazing skill set, loose hips, anticipation, football IQ, speed 4.45, and an amazing low completions against percentage in college and the NFL.

I predict he will not only admirably in the slot CB role but at some point he will steal the other starting CB role opposite Ramsey and not look back. Guy is a baller with a few years under his belt now.

Just like the prediction of rise to power of Rodney McCloud and John Johnson, I see David Long Jr. Maybe even making Ramsey expendable after a few years.

My ex boss and former NFL Europe defensive coach used to say that all the 3-4, 4-3, 3 tech, 5 tech, etc... is mainly a bunch of terminology that makes it easier for others to talk about football. He said coaches put players on the line depending on what the other team is doing and/or what they see as match up issues.

Sure there are athletic attributes that determine where you position your players. But run stoppers that don't blow up the stat sheet still deserve some love. If he gets a lot of snaps and our run defense improves, I think that qualifies for zero to hero.
