seriously though you thought Shannahan saying that was a ruse?
Yeah. I think he’s one of those guys who’s arrogant enough to see his unbeaten run in the division as a real point of pride and he’ll be going for the win next week. His announcement is intended to lull us into a false sense of security.

He doesn’t need to rest his starters next week, as they have the bye on Wild Card weekend anyway.

I think we should rest starters next week.

Give Puka 30 yards in receptions and rest the key players.

Would be a nice way to see Wentz in action.

I don't know about seeding. Will depend whether McVay rests some guys.

Rest all/most starters? And have rust build up with 3 weeks off? Not sure I see that. Injured players sure. Half a game for starters more likely maybe less but I bet they get some time out there.

I'd hope it's rest starters and then run a shit ton of practice to try to get this defense back in their early season form. For a while there the secondary was really playing over their talent level. If we can get back to that we might see an upset or two.

We're not exactly stacked at the bottom end of our roster, they could still play to win with their backups and more than likely pull it off. Risking the health of your starters is stupid especially considering what happened to Purdy last year.

100% agree with this. Out depth is lacking right now. We need another draft or two to address this.

Chances are, if we win the first playoff game it won't matter if we're 6th or 7th. We're likely going to SF in the next round. Question is, how important is the 6th seed compared to the 7th? 7th likely goes to Dallas in the first round. 6th to Detroit. Philly at the NFC south winner. Personally, I'd rather go to Detroit. Dallas might not be so hot on the road but they can be tough at home. So can Detroit but Dallas has the stronger front 7 which tends to give our team a lot of trouble.

I don't think the Rams rest their guys, but that's just my opinion

I think the Rams take a bye next week. MCVay After a bye has a good record, even if we might play the cowgirls.

To be honesty, IMO, with a third rate kicker and punt return team, and our tendency to let bad teams back into games, even if we pull it out, is a bad sign. The more elite teams will wind up winning those close games which is what happened in several rams games.

But I will say this. If Stafford is on and Kyren is getting yards, the Rams will be a tough out for anyone.
