Robinson will be a fine #3 option but he isn't cutting it as a #2. Woods understood the offense and would get open ön time"."But Woods leaving was a salary cap issue (even though the dead money would be around Robinson's contract,,,,,,,)

But as an earlier poster pined......"Can he play guard or center...." That's our biggest problem right now.
Kolone was suppose to be in street clothes. At least Mcvay knew he might need him & that he knows the offense really well.

Miscasting Robinson so far is the issue.
He is not Woods and shouldn't be used that way.....hooks etc. He is a downfield player, despite not being a burner, who can win contested balls. He is a different player than Woods..
Using him the same way is bizarre to me.
But, maybe when/if Jefferson comes back Robinson will be used more in his natural role.
All that said, its all hands on deck at this point
If Skow is getting in that short passing game role he needs to get those snaps.....salary means nothing.

This is more than just a A Robinson issue though.
If there was a running game, and Oline instead of turnstiles , a decent 3rd WR running 11 personnel , an accurate QB... etc...

Too many things going on at once.

I wasn't a fan of letting Robert Woods go and bringing in Robinson, but 30% in the season and I think it was a mistake.
But really difficult to make that judgement based on everything.

When we signed the big time free agent WR I checked some Bear boards and they were not sad to see AR go.

One poster even stated that AR appeared to quit on the team, complete with videos of AR's lackluster play.

I figured "what do DF Bear fans know anyway" since very knowledgeable ROD posters were gushing about the signing

Well, it seems that I am finding out who knew what.

Who would trade for these stiffs?
After mid season there will be teams that know they are out of it this season and will try and trade up.
But I get your point. However both players have a history of bring productive on offense.

Kupp and Woods complemented one another, yet Kupp has emerged as arguably the best receiver in the game and is continuing to do it with a bit of support from Higbee and Skowronek.
I'm not about to give up on Robinson, but someone needs to step up and make their presence known.
Mind you, I am a bit concerned why Robinson slips/falls over so much.

The scapegoat is the OL. I wish we had a back like Jackson who was an absolute monster.
I'm hoping some of these linemen and our running backs could realise that this is a perfect time to show the NFL their skills, but in reality the skill difference between starters and backups is huge.
Our running backs don't put any fear into their opponents.

Disappointed, but we've had it much worse.
I think somehow McVay finds a way. This would be a huge test for any coach.

Ugh, that's the worst Ram news I've heard all day.

I think fans can sense the character of some players on a team. When I saw how Detroit fans were absolutely gushing over Stafford, I sure felt better about the trade.

Bears fans think AR quit on the team and didn't give 100%? Ugh. So far, AR sure hasn't given the impression of a guy who will run through a brick wall to win.

And I have seen plays where the plays are designed to go to the other side of the field, where Robinson just take 2 steps and stop.

I was definitely gushing over Robinson when we signed him. And I may have been very wrong about him. I'll even admit that I didn't bother to go watch his film with the Bears either, because he was a player I knew and whose game I was very aware of.

But I don't think it's time yet to crown Bears fans. You might want to slow your roll there.

I think this is just the perfect horrible combo of having a beat up O-line and Stafford not having a chance to develop chemistry with ARob. Stafford knows he doesn't have any time so he is going to people he is familiar with. Stafford trusts Kupp and Higbee so that is who he's looking for right at the snap regardless of the play call.

I remember when ARob (the wr) was the Jag's top WR and put up pro bowl level numbers as a very young player. High level 2nd round pick (iirc) and played like one during his time there.

I was quite surprised to see the vitriol from Bear fans after we signed him.
