Why would they spend the draft capital on a position they viewed as filled, i.e. Allen. Before all the injuries they drafted Bruss to replace Corbett, and extended Shelton as probably their LG/backup C.

LT Noteboom
LG Shelton
C Allen
RG Bruss
RT Havenstein

That isn't a bad OL. They had Jackson as swing OT/OG.

Now people are moaning about taking on another C? They had hopes that Tutu would develop into another Cooks type of WR. Obviously that hasn't worked out. No GM is 100% and playing GM with 20/20 hindsight is ridiculous IMO. Get over it and move on. Focus on the roster as is.

LT Nsekhe
LG Jackson
C Allen
RG Aboushi
RT Havenstein

IMO that is their best option for a decent OL. I think that OL would give Stafford time. I think Henderson starts with Akers as #2 in the RB rotation. Yes, It's a patchwork OL but the RBs are still better than average. Let's face reality, this is a passing offense with a run attack just to keep the defense honest. McVay has his starting WRs back though I think Kupp will be on a snap count. It will be interesting if Harris can get into the rotation as a big fast target. They could play Jefferson at Z and Harris at Y. I think Powell will play before Tutu.

This team can still be dangerous. More than the offense, I'm concerned about the "good enough" play of the defense. If McVay won't light a fire under Morris' ass maybe Snead should. If the defense can get some 3 and outs that would really help the offense.

This is a very winnable game against Tampa. Time to put the dagger in TB's heart for this season. Play clean and the Rams should take this one.

Sorry, haven't been offended yet. LOL. Not going to continue a pointless back and forth. Have a great day.
Yep, sure seems like the case. Have a better day.

oh never realized he was on the team - thanks for pointing that out.
Come on man, of course you did and of course you know what I'm alluding to! How many teams manage to draft even 1 truly elite receiver in a 5 year period, let alone draft one in the 3rd round?! There are many here who know more than me but I can only think of 3 teams, right this second, who had 2 truly elite receivers on their roster whom they drafted. Mind you, I was born in 1990. But that would be the 9rs with Rice and T.O., the Rams with Bruce and Holt, and the Colts with Harrison and Wayne. I'm sure there are more but I think you get what I'm trying to say–it is incredibly rare. I think we are rather fortunate to have the receiver cast we do with the picks we have spent on them.

The problem is the short sightedness of 95% of posters, so unfortunately no. They don’t get it. It’s easy to have to 20/20 after the fact but to have it during the fact. That’s something else entirely.

Ps go to the first year Tutu was drafted. Speaking of shortsightedness, those arrogant posters were fooling themselves all along and refused to see anything else. Yet, they constantly have posted nonsense since then with the confident ignorance.

Just saying
I don't think it's 20/20 hindsight to realize that Creed Humphrey would have been the obvious pick over tutu.

I also think we have been making fairly bad choices at running back by emphasizing speed.
Pead and Mason and even Akers were unusual choices when you need a solid offensive line to make speed bags work.

I've always thought you need to build from the lines out.

And then you can make those type of choices work much better.

But if you bring it up the Tutu pick was bad that means you’ll have a pile of rocket NFL GM on ROD type brain farts at you

PS been bitching and wanting a RB for at least 2 years. However the brain trust conglomerate has decided Henderson/Akers are the premier class of the league.
Because you try to learn from your mistakes.
Exactly, That’s how it should be!

And that's why we are going to keep bringing up Tutu - to remind Snead and McVay of that mistake lol

We are going to be so annoying they will remember this pick that the next time they think someone small has an athletic ability during the draft - oh yeah - Tutu - what are we even thinking of - Rams on Demand has told us a million times what a stupid pick that was - NEXT!!

Movie thread: “Did you hear they’re making a Creed 3.” Response: “yeah, we really should have drafted Creed!”

Thread about US Presidents: “what do you think about Hubert Humphrey?” Response: “I don’t know, but let me tell you about Creed Humphrey.”

"What's your philosophy in life?"

"Well, let me tell you about the Creed I'd like to have."

You would think this team didn't even make the playoffs last year with all the moanings about what ifs. What about this what if....the OL and Jefferson stayed healthy. This team would probably be 7-1 right now.

You guys act like the season is over. This team has players if they would play them. Why Tutu over McCutcheon? Why Kendricks over Rochell? Rochell doesn't abandon his assignments. He's better in man coverage and probably in zone because he's faster and quicker.

If they are really thinking about trading Robinson then it probably means they are looking at bringing back OBJ.

Bottom line is that this season is a long way from being over. They are about two weeks away from getting Shelton back to replace Evans. That would solve a whole bunch of OL issues. Time to see if Brewer can play LG. He can't be any worse than Evans.
Bizarre to me they elevated Brewer to replace Aboushi.
Evans doing his turnstile thing vs the Bucs.
Just bizarre.
The Rams are 3-5 and likely out of the playoff race for the time being. They had a golden opportunity to win a game on the road against a team struggling as badly as the Rams were. They had it and played not to lose and lost.
Now they need to crank out a couple of wins in a row, and likely 4 out of 5, to have a legit play off shot. I can't see that happening at this point.
At least the Rams didn't over pay for a trade that would have not made a difference.

You do know that that Atwell was like 150 lbs soaking wet right?

Did Snead not learn from the Tavon Austin disaster?

I love the POTENTIAL of Tutu and Tavon.
But they're NOT football players.
They're more like toys.

Creed Humphreys is a football player and looks like he will be for a long long time.

If we had upgraded our Center last year I don't think we'd be in nearly as bad a position on the oline.
