Seen that same defensive movie over and over. Need a stop, play 10 yards off a receiver, let the offense do whatever they want with absolutely zero creativity on the defensive side. I hate to say it but that last 4th down stop by the Seahawks was an absolute beauty of a playcall by Macdonald. He knew that McVay would be calling a pass play and had his defense show all out pressure only to drop 8 into coverage, blanketing our receivers. That's how you call a defense, not this soft zone bullshit where receivers are running wide open in the end zone for easy catches. We will never get a real defensive coordinator because McVay loves the soft zone bullshit. It's so infuriating to have a glaring issue cost you a shot at the Super Bowl, knowing they did fuck all to fix that obvious issue.

I actually agree here. If this is truly McVay dictating the style of D, then he has control issues there that he needs to relinquish if we ever want a creative defense. I'd more likely want a vet D coordinator or at least a more innovative one that can mix it up. With that said, I highly doubt well see that though which is disappointing. At least we know the offense will be on point as long as Stafford comes back.

Yeah I’m calling the muffed punt and the Woolen unsportsmanlike penalty a push. May not have had one without the other. And I’m calling bs on any major officiating bias. This was on the Rams lack of consistent pass rush and blown pass coverage.

It was a combination of all of it. There were obvious penalties missed. With that said, still gotta beat a team enough to not let the refs determine the outcome.
