No worries, I certainly get that groups can have influence but simply think it's tough to prove that was how each person came to the same conclusion. I just think we simply have people that are done with Reeder and others that are ok with him as a special teamer. It is what it is now as he's on the roster. I know it's tough to question this awesome coaching staff but they are human too and fuck up from time to time. Shit if I question myself I'm definitely going to question them from time to time lol. Yes we are all good bro, anytime I respond to anyone here it's not with malice or bad intent just respectful discussion with some goofyness sometimes attached to it
Unless it's at Loyal - then it's all good

Hides from Loyal welcome response lol

At what cost?
I think that taking that swing, for a team like the Eagles with Jihad Campbell, makes sense when you look at their roster build. The Rams? No.
If I'm looking at the Rams from a roster building standpoint.. my high picks in coming years are OT and, probably, corner. Maybe another WR in 2 years.
I just don't think they have the roster to invest high draft picks in that position over others.. and I think they're constructing a championship caliber roster.
Not saying high picks and of course things are fluid with a roster, I don't think you move off this build if you spend a ransom for a QB but depending on how the draft falls I'm not opposed to them looking for a LB on day two instead of day three.

And obviously you can't have everything on a team, you'll always have deficiencies but I don't love how they have constructed their CB room since Ramsey left.

But think the roster's pretty good and defense should at least be middle of the pack this year... maybe even challenge for around top 10.

I guess that for me, what they've done with the draft resources they've had in recent years, is incredible.

Do we not all remember how the team was basically trying to temper expectations a couple of years ago, before they realized the 23 draft was, literally, franchise-altering? And they CRUSHED IT again last year?

Do we not all remember the hand-wringing over spending extra capital to trade up for Fiske?

Do we not all remember them adding an extra first-rounder next year in a total draft coup?

This is ranty and that's not aimed at you, @WestCoastRam ... I just see people hyper-focused on Reeder and Paul and can't fathom why they're not focusing on the fact this team has real depth at multiple positions now and looks to be ready for a strong run. Reeder or Paul ain't making the difference, one way or another.

Kind of a shrug?
They kept Dedich and Limmer.. are you keeping around a dedicated #4 Center? Does that make sense to you?
Exactly, everyone worried about Lampkin when Rams found one good and one great depth guy and one of them I still have hopes as a starter in the future.

Hear me out, Dedich is just a better version on Lampkin. And since we all love Thorn, here it is:

He wasn't in competition with Landman and Reeder, he was in competition with Speghts and Dolac. Different positions.
Paul was wearing the green dot in preseason, this tells me he was competing for the green dot position. If Reeder is the backup green dot why would keeping Reeder have anything to do with Paul? If Paul was competing for the position Dolac was competing for he would not have been wearing the green dot.

Is the idea here that the green dot is a position in football?

Didn't Shula say Dolac could "teach the defence".
Maybe after trying Pooh out they decided he was not as promising a green dot guy as Dolac,

I think it is as simple as they were going with 4 ILBs and they didn't want two rookies as back ups. So Dolac beat out Paul and here we are.
