Yes Indeed, we sure have had and still do have some great members. Roles get filled it is the way of life, the personalities change but roles remain.

I drove down to Malibu for lunch a couple weeks ago and after leaving took PCH North and the devastation was heart breaking just like you said.

Dave was a one of a kind and is dearly missed, as roles remain and are replaced with new personalities his personality and impact has not been matched.
I spoke to him in PM's a bit and knowing he was a retired vet I would offer him tickets to games and events when I couldn't go and he would send pics of himself and his grand daughter that was the apple of his eye.

have a great day SO.....
That’s awesome You made MY DAY!
-thanks for the kind heart.Your a True Champ - Go Rams 2025

I could be wrong but I think it was Landman, Reeder and Paul Jr competing for 2 spots as the green dot ILB and McVay is more comfortable with Reeder at this point.

The biggest surprise to me is keeping Hampton over Jackson.
Also, I don't get the Murcheson keep. Not sure what he offers that the other DL don't.
I would have kept another CB or S over Murcheson.
Murch got hurt last season. He has been a STUD ever since The Rams signed him.He has worked hard, got to see him grow as a player. He’s been with Turner through The AD99 DAYS ! He learned from the GOAT.Eric Henderson guy Giff Smith.
I agree in someways, but he would’ve been kept in 2024.IMO Sean Mcvay is making a point about the roster about a Player having to make The Squad.
He use to always carrier a big poch on his belly, but has a non stop motor. He will help wear a O”Line down by the rotation.

Yeah - Mick Hampton is a guy Sean Mcvay has a Man Crush on !! I don’t get it either, but as much as a Hated (style) him.He came up with an INT,and he does add an Anchor on The Edge. He’ll keep things inside, but has basically ZERO pass Rush ability from what I’ve seen.
—I think against the Chargers he showed a little bit,but never understood Mcvays like for Hampton even when DRAFTED thought it was a wasted pick.

When Mcvay talks about WE might not always be right ? I liked B.Jackson because he gets after it.
He was a 2024,not 2023.which gives him another year to get better.
—Maybe The Rams think putting B.Jack would be easier to put on The Practice squad since he is basically a RAMS FAN & sort of a local guy (family) ?

The hope is to continue to develop players. The Rams have a lot of CORNERBACK DB depth from last year’s practice squad. They will bring a bunch of those players in for TEAMS & rotate The Roster in & out during the season.Teams will stick to mostly there own team & practice squads during the season imo.

Mob Mentality
Not Mob Mentality at all. That's just a cop out and weak blanket statement. (DELETED BY MOD FOR RULE VIOLATION) that's what I've seen from him, and that came from me and me alone. I didn't need any convincing to say Reeder is not good. Saying Mob Mentality is essentially undercutting someone's personal belief unless they prove otherwise. Either way, Reeder's(ALSO DELETED) is on the team so I'm personally hoping he sees the field on special teams only. I know he isn't going to get better as he is what he is at this point. If he somehow gets in on defense, I'm prepared to see him whiff as usual :laugh1:

So there you go. Reeder over Paul because of Specials. That’s all folks.
Lame, but what can you do. We know what we have in Reeder. I'm guessing a young player like Paul would have gotten better with more time.....oh well, time to move forward and talk shit if and when Reeder whiffs on a tackle if he gets in on D lol

Well Shaun Dolac was a green Dot guy as well.Even Stu or JB talked about Dolac from Day 1 at try camp.Saying he could teach you The Defense. They said that High phrase for anybody, but as a rookie.
—He also said he had to be TRUE to what he preaches about earning a spot as he tells his PLAYERS!

Sean Mcvay is staying TRUE to HIMSELF & what he BELIEVES in.
I screamed my AZZ 1 game. Was Drunk & Crazy last year.BAD experience, but he almost cost The Rams The Season in 2024.I’m sure his reflection is how The (PLAYERS)TEAM is what got The RAMS almost to The Superbowl.

Troy Reeder was put in a near impossible situation last season. You think he was ready to start as The Green Dot with a ROOKIE DC ? Lossing EJ53 is what Mcvay stands for,but he has to be TRUE to THE RAMS TEAM !!

Ramball I’ve seen you taking notes & being a ROD REPORTER!!! You know WE might see things differently.I’ll say watching certain players, coaches, relationships you get to see up close.

I’ll continue to say CORE PLAYERS of what Mcvay has built comes from each group.Certain Players sacrifice TEAM FIRST like a KYREN WILLIAMS!! ALARIC JACKSON is another player. Coleman Shelton,Troy Reeder ,Ahkello Whiterspoon. These are the type of players that mean SO MUCH to The RAMS TEAM !!

I can Go On !! The list builds itself. The TEAM only gets STRONGER!!! The AD’s(99) & Whit’s still want to be apart of it.It an addiction & commitment to each other for the greater cause & love of the game.

Had to LMFAO on this Video before POOH PAUL was cut. It’s all subjective.

I don’t claim to have as much skill or knowledge as some.Still after watching the last clip I was sort of BLOWN AWAY about the Whole Smoke up Pauls(play)
—IMO seeing Reeder play I was like he would blow that play up.
—Who in there RIGHT (football) MIND would phrase a 5 Yard Gain !
That was my take of it,but thought Pooh does have better skill & strength than I thought.I didn’t think he was going to get cut.Still thought FIELDS out played him & at times felt lost.IMO - I think now even more could put a video together showing plays like that & say how bad he is.
I hope for the best & that he makes it on the practice squad ?

It was sarcasm to a degree

Groups influence opinions and behaviors.

Cop out as a statement is the the definition of……

I am not a Reeder fan by any means but not prepared to question what the coaches see day in and day out

Agree to disagree

All good bro

He wasn't in competition with Landman and Reeder, he was in competition with Speghts and Dolac. Different positions.

We have to factor in coachspeak. Of course he's gonna spend most of the time building up Reeder, but the other side of the equation could be that Paul was unimpressive in all phases. Obviously he's not gonna say that.
Agreed. If Paul had been impressive Reeder would be looking for a new job.

No worries, I certainly get that groups can have influence but simply think it's tough to prove that was how each person came to the same conclusion. I just think we simply have people that are done with Reeder and others that are ok with him as a special teamer. It is what it is now as he's on the roster. I know it's tough to question this awesome coaching staff but they are human too and fuck up from time to time. Shit if I question myself I'm definitely going to question them from time to time lol. Yes we are all good bro, anytime I respond to anyone here it's not with malice or bad intent just respectful discussion with some goofyness sometimes attached to it

Just my two cents: Reeder sucks and I'm unhappy we don't have a prospect to unseat him but Pooh sure seems like he wasn't that guy when he was injured during camp, didn't offer a lot on special teams, not sure he was assignment sound and was competing not at MLB but WLB where Dolac worked his but off.

But for me, the criticism is that the front office seems beholden to the team build idea that we will NOT spend resources at LB and I'm just not sure how sound that is - especially with the league running more these days with 2-high. It's not so much a Reeder vs Pooh thing for me, it's a Rams don't want to invest in a better prospect than a 5th round guy to fix LB issues.

Ronnie Rivers had to be a tough cut. Guy has done everything we asked, been a backup RB who can actually pass protect, solid on special teams - guessing if he doesn't find a home he will be on the practice squad
