Salary cap for 2016 set at $155.27 million per team
Posted by Darin Gantt on February 26, 2016

Teams now know how much they have to spend, assuming they want to spend it.

A league source tells PFT the salary cap for the 2016 season has been set at $155.27 million per team by the NFL and the NFLPA.

That’s a bump of around $12 million from last year’s limit of $143.3 million, not including the cap space left over last year by teams which could be applied.

It’s a significant bump, but the question the union is going to monitor is whether teams spend the money available, as a number of teams traditionally underspend.

That's pretty much what everyone expected but now that it is official sign some players.Hopefully our secondary stays intact IMO they are very close to being a top 3-5 secondary. We need Barron to resign as well he found his role.If I'm not mistaken if we sign all our guys on D our starting D would all be in their 20s.They have a chance to continue to get better together all in their prime.
