I haven't spent a lot of time in most of the threads, other than the one about the QB situation and drafting Winston. Was this a big problem over the last couple of days?

This is a good site. Seems like there is at least a weekly thread like this, but I rarely see the behavior it talks about. We are likely headed for a 4 win season in year 3 of the Fisher rebuild. Would anyone like some ice in their drink while the Titanic sinks?

In a way it is to be expected but it is also pretty simple. This is ROD - not the PD or any of those other sites. A few of us have taken on to be moderators and read almost every post. We know the origins and the mission of this site and will do what is needed to forward that. While we don't want to squelch discussion or act like everyone should ignore what is happening with the team, what I said in my original post is what you should refer to if you have any questions. I'm not going to address each question by citing examples.

Want to be part of ROD? Great. Welcome aboard. Want ROD to be more open toward bitterness? Cast off.

Yes, and I would also like chocolate covered pretzels to go with my salt water bath.

An internet forum/board like this one is similar to a man's home. Do you let people come into your home, use abusive language in front of your wife and children, kick the dog, and generally bring nothing but bad vibes? Hopefully you would escort them from the premises and tell them not to come back. That's what the mods here have to do at times for the good of all.
Excellent analogy. Right on.

It's gotten to the point that I can barely muster the energy to read thru too many threads and I usually leave without any contribution. I doubt I've made 100 post in the last 3 months. This site was awesome when I came and I was blown away. It seemed like a smaller town. Everyone knew everyone. Now, I don't know who the fuck these people are. Not to say a lot of them don't have something awesome to bring to the table, but it's just not the same.

QFE about 10 times over.

Prime Time true to his nature:
I'll be playing with the band while some of the rest of you elbow and push each other to get into the lifeboats.
So assuming the ship is going down so fast that you only have time for one song, which song would you be playing?

If I had to pick one it would be "With A Little Help From My Friends."

Yeah - I can see myself referring to that ... oh yeah - never. :D
That's because you're so young. When you become old and as acronym challenged as I am you'll sing a different tune. Probably off key like me too.

Nah - I just nod and act like I understand it most of the time. And please don't sing Alan. My dog is sitting here.

Being an immigrant that's exactly the way I feel about America today compared to when we came here in 1960. The best I can do for my country and for ROD is to try to contribute something positive each day and hope that others do the same. Any suggestions for ROD other than kicking out the people we haven't gotten acquainted with yet?

just like any other fan forum site, it is a choice of free will! You either like it for what it is and who is in it ... or ya don't! And if ya don't ... then feel free to close the door behind ya. I like this place. I like the people. It's my favorite hang out other than FB and Twitter. Do I agree with EVERYTHING that is posted by everyone?? oh hell no ... and from time to time wi will debate. That is healthy. but we must not ever let it turn into what many of the other sites have .... if that is your cup of tea ... head on back! :)

Cheers Bros and Bronettes!

My wife just got this new plant, some kind of ugly cactus and she put it in my computer room about 2 feet from me. I hate it. My mother-in-law called about an hour ago and in the course of our conversation I mentioned that I was singing to that plant every day in hopes it would kill it. I think it's starting to look a little stressed.

Although that could just be wishful thinking on my part. :(
