I'm leaning towards Penn State's Jordan Stout at the moment.

I could see that and he can kickoff to saving Gay from doing that.

Stout averaged 46.01 yards on 67 punts in 2021 with a long kick of 76 yards. Of Stout’s kicks, 25 traveled at least 50 yards, 35 were downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line, 19 were downed inside the opponent’s 10-yard line and 30 were fair caught.

As a kickoff specialist, Stout was almost a guaranteed touchback. He led the nation in touchback percentage as 56 of his 62 kickoffs (90.32%) went into the end zone. One went out of bounds, one was an onside kick attempt and Penn State had just two kickoffs returned against it all season long.

Well, my man Velus Jones who I was hoping might be available as a UDFA ran a ridiculous 4.31 40 at the Combine today. That speed likely means he gets overdrafted, but it still doesn't change the fact that he's a 25 year old WR that may never grow beyond being a Special Teams demon. He'd be great competition as our primary return man, and with all our 6'th & 7'th rd. draft picks, I wouldn't count him out.

Edwards lost his starting job? Did you mean to do that?

Actually, yes. I'd like to see an open competition at LG between Edwards, Shelton, Anchrum and a draft pick. 2022 could very well be Edwards' final season with the Rams as he will become eligible for free agency after this next year, and we still don't have any idea whether he possesses the talent to play as an OT in this league since he was made an OG during an emergency situation back in 2019, the year he was drafted. Edwards might win an OG job outright anyway, especially with the growing possibility that Corbett leaves soon as a free agent, and Edwards does have experience at both RG and LG now, but he is still little more than an average OG imo. I would like to see what Edwards might deliver as a potential swing OT/OG with a full off-season of practice at OT, possibly becoming Havenstein's more immediate back-up, although I fear we will lose him to free agency if he's not given an OT opportunity. jmo.

Gotcha.
1) if Shelton wins out, we’ll need more depth at Center, otherwise we’re back where we started because Shelton moves over Allen gets hurt.
2) I like Anchrum. I see him as a Tackle so far, but who knows what the Rams have planned. It was Jackson who started at Guard when Edwards moved over to LT, right?

I like Edwards, but we always have to look a year ahead when it comes to FA, don’t we? It has been a good strategy by the FO so far.

I thought it was Shelton who moved to LG when Edwards was moved to LT, although I must admit to being a little foggy on it. When Edwards returned to LG is when I believe Jackson took over at LT for the game. I can't recall whether Shelton got dinged up at LG which caused the switch again at LT. I also can't remember Jackson receiving snaps at LG though, but it may very well have happened.
It's hard for me to take Anchrum seriously at OT due to his lack of height, but stranger things have indeed occurred.
Saffold being released offers another potential twist as he could probably handle LG again for another year or two, but it would really have to be a team friendly contract for me to jump on-board, then we could easily see Edwards, Anchrum & Brewer competing with a draft pick for the starting RG job. At this point there remains several options, it will be an interesting ride during free agency and thru the draft. jmo.

Edwards started at LT and Shelton at LG, then when Brian Allen got hurt, Jackson came off the bench to play LT, Edwards went back to LG & Shelton took over for Allen at Center.

Alaric Jackson did look good, but he's still developing IMO. I'm Luke Warm on Anchrum as he looked better in his rookie year then last year and Brewer seem to struggle in preseason, but he did take a whole year off so maybe he was rusty.

Overall I like your plan on drafting a rookie for RG and they do have other options especially if they bring back both Allen & Shelton, but Bobby Evans I believe has to be written off because he was an epic fail last year and I don't see that improving anytime soon.

Thanks for clearing this up, I forgot about that particular Allen absence.
Unless something drastic like an epiphany for Evans occurs, I have him as little more than another Demby level wannabe wasting a roster spot. I believe drafting a quality RG is at the top of my agenda, I just hope we can find the means to move up in the 3'rd round if it's necessary to grab the right guy, someone who would be capable of starting at the position no later than mid-season.
jmo.

The Rams had another guy getting a lot of snaps at Guard last preseason. I thought he had promise but was cut. Funny, I can’t remember his name. Anybody know it was and if he’s still in the Ram pipeline?

Was it Jamil Demby ? He ended up on IR last season and must have been dropped as he's not listed on the 2022 roster pages. He had good size, but that was pretty much all he offered, although he is still listed as a 2022 RFA by Spotrac.
