I love the studio cronies response to Rich ranking the Rams 4th in his Power Rankings

Rich giving Rams their proper rank,. to the disapproval of his Studio cronies.
Rich sticks to his guns and starts naming off the reasons why Rams will make another run.
Then he ask his cronies if they had reasons Why rams are not deserving of the #4 spot.
Crickets.

I think it's telling that les says, the first round picks may or may not be used next year depending on who is declared for draft.

For Arch Manning fans, this may be another hint.

They were interested in giving up picks to get TMac this year so maybe qb isn’t set in stone, maybe they’re willing to ride Stanford til the wheels fall off.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I cant help but wonder if now that the Rams have an inside guy running Jacksonville, if Lawrence has a bad year, do they give the Rams a call about one of those first round picks? Sean is the coach that resurrects QBs. Just thinking out loud here.

Maybe signing Jackson (shoring him up), adding back Shelton and signing Quessenberry for depth is improvement over 2024?

If it's possible to have Stafford and Arch for a year, give him a boost in knowledge.

If the Rams felt Shelton was an upgrade at center, then it’s an upgrade, until we see something proving it’s not.

Shelton may not be as physically as talented as Limmer but if he’s gets the line as a whole, playing back to 2023 form I’d agree it was an upgrade.

It's a possibility, don't think it's strong, but it's a possibility.

Scenario: Lawrence plays okay in new offense but team has problems on D, maybe some injuries and ends up with a high draft pick. With their front office guy, have to think they want to look at QBs with an eye on flipping Lawrence and starting QB clock over again.

And keep in mind, to boot, Jacksonville does not have a 2026 1st Round pick. Travis Hunter trade.

Sadly, I don’t think we have a shot at Manning unless Cleveland hits on Saunders which is a big if. If he plays as as expected, he could declare and be picked first. If he has a good year but not great then he likely stays in college like his uncles and kills it his final season. If it’s the former, then it will take a lot including a willing trade partner. If it’s the later, then we will need to trade away 2026 capital for the 2027 draft. That is possible but unlikely if we are still building around Stafford. It’s more likely we draft one of the other QB prospects with Atlanta’s pick. Time will tell and depending on who plays well in 2025, we may have to trade up a few spots, just not all the way to no 1.

The 2026 draft feels like a good one if you were to take the 5th QB off the board

I live in wonderland lol.
I think we wait till 2027 for arch, trading off any picks we can to get as many 2027 1sts we can and try and trade most to get as close to top for Arch. I will throw in stafford becoming a member of the coaching team and it raining gumballs inside sofi lmao

Yea was wondering the same. Rich has to keep up with so many
players and teams. He is usually so spot on.
Guess we write it off as one of the few times Rich mis-spoke.
He is one the few sports media people I actually enjoy.
