I'm celebrating no ints from Stafford.
I'm celebrating a line that did a good job in Pass Pro and opened some decent holes in the run game. Jackson looks really solid at right guard.. huge guy and seems to be getting it done.
Higbee catch and run is always fun.
Brandon Powell getting mixed in is great. Fun to give defenses something else to think about.
Ben Skow.. I love how he pulled away from a safety on that one crosser.. too bad he stepped out of bounds.
Derion Kendrick played a professional game. They had him play soft, I get it, and he got the job done. I absolutely love how physical he is.. such an upgrade over someone like DD last year.
I'm celebrating special teams coverage and return units look very, very solid. Wish we had a bigger leg at punter, but can't complain too much.

The Defensive front has been excellent against the run and solid in pass rush. Definitely need another edge rusher, though. (dead horse alert)

The team is making errors and not executing on offense... but I do think they're close.

These have been 2 lackluster wins in a row. I'm gonna keep saying we need to develop a killer instinct mentality until I'm blue in the face.

Let's get thisW against the hated whiners please. They are struggling to score so let's keep that trend going... If they start lighting us up, Morris needs to go

9ers are gonna be out for blood. We need to match that physicality.

Do you know how this comes off?
The season is 18 weeks and the Rams and most teams aren't looking to peak in September.
Winning.. however you do it.. is the most important thing this time of year.
The second most important is finding a way to stay as healthy as possible.
The third most important thing is to develop your young talent.

Every week is a new week.. ask Buffalo and KC. Pinning everything on how next week goes is absolutely silly.

I'm happy for the win. Need Stafford to start connecting on some of those deep balls.

No one said anything about peaking in September. But a few lucky bounces go the other way and we could be looking at 0 and 3. And thats a deep hole to dig out of in September in a tough division.

Sure, all wins are great. But if we don't start correcting some of these issues that have been plaguing us since LAST YEAR...our hopes of repeating are going to plummet.

The good teams are going to exploit our weaknesses unless we shore them up. You can be happy with his win all you want...but even Jalen said in the post game victory speech. STILL a lot of work to do.

I was excited to see Stafford overthrowing guys instead of underthrowing them like last year.

That and coming away with a win.

The new OL is building chemistry, getting experience and looking to build on that. Our RB improvement reflects heavily on this OL taking charge. Higbee had another good day and Blanton stepped in for a great clutch reception. Skow & Powell have really been playing well.
Our Defense didn't allow a TD today, Lewis is building momentum at Edge and had another quality outing, our very young DB's behind the guidance of Ramsey played quite well under the circumstances.
I am wondering where Floyd has disappeared to this season, I'm also still hoping to see Tutu utilized on more than 1 or 2 snaps per game, ... and really hoping that Allen Robinson & Matthew Stafford find their groove soon, it's time.
jmo.

I think a point could be made that the bounces did go the other way in both of these W's.

Both of these red birds games were examples of the Rams beating the other team thoroughly despite a close score.
In week 2, the Rams narrowly avoided a super unlikely comeback after equally unlikely errors (Kupp fumble and a blocked punt for TD) and a couple bad decisions by Stafford.

But in terms of competition, the Rams were clearly in control

This week the Rams were the better team the entire game and the score not reflecting that was due precisely to "lucky bounces" like Robinsons dropped TD, the Akers fumble (he was protecting it... sometimes that happens.

But I get your concern

Shew, I’m glad we won. Some good and some bad. I loved that second half run game. Give me more.

Still, there is a lot to clean up and Sean didn’t look real happy at the end. But I’ll take it.

I agree, 100%, that there's a lot of work to do. Have said as much in my posts.

The Morris criticism is exactly what we were hearing last year. He's building his defense. They have several new pieces and are actually doing different things from last year. The personnel is also imperfect.. but they got good results the last two weeks. This week was pretty impressive, considering he was playing a practice squad guy and a rookie 6th rounder at corner.

The negativity, at this point in the season, with the team 2-1, just seems a little extreme.

I'm looking forward to the DBs getting healthy, getting Bobby Brown back to help keep the three starters fresh.. and picking up another edge rusher.

But I can't complain about this week.. and there was plenty to build on.

All we can really ask for is that we continue to improve...and we're doing that. As well as overcoming the challenges of guys being out with injury. Outside of the fumble, Cam looked like his pre-injury self. Henderson was running hard as well. I really want to see us maximize how we use that combo...and at least we called some running plays inside the 10....

I really like the fact we are using our base 3-4 defense more. We have the players to stay in that, and Wagner and Jones need to stay on the field.

last year going to Arizona with guys out with covid and winning was the turning point of our season...I think today we got back on our thing on offense, and our defense is tightening up...

nice win going into Frisco next week

Lots of 4-2-5 as well.
That's where our guys still really need one more edge rusher. If they can somehow land someone like Quinn? This defense will be smoking by playoff time.
