No.Has there been a Gurley level RB come out of college since Gurley?
Give him 5 per and a 5 million bonus that he loses a million for each fumble.Rams should give Kyren 10 mill per year, but he loses 1 mill each time he fumbles
He’s the NFL version of a control pitcher. Nobody appreciates them.KW sees these opportunities & just flat out out-produces most of the backs we've ever had. He sees holes that other backs just don't see, or waits for our OL to make them. Sure he'll get tackled a lot after a 5-7 yard gain, but if you have a back that can consistently put you in short yardage situations, you can reliably get down the field.
I don't see any reason why we shouldn't try and structure KW's contract like that. He is amazing without the fumbles. If he thinks he is an elite RB, he can prove it by hanging onto the football. Creative idea and Snead is a creative enough GM to try it I think. Players get incentive for hitting certain performance targets. Why can't it cut the other way too?Rams should give Kyren 10 mill per year, but he loses 1 mill each time he fumbles
I was actually just thinking about this and the conclusion I came to:I really like OH and think he’s going to make a big impact. But he’d require us using the 1st. I think we have much bigger needs for that pick: WR, TE, OT.
This free agent class is slim pickings overall. It’s very thin at WR.I was actually just thinking about this and the conclusion I came to:
Receiver- should be prioritized in free agency and then later in the draft. I don't think we can afford to go into the season with Puka and a rookie and at 26 we're really gambling that a good receiver is even left. Rather take a complimentary piece in the third.
Tight end - only two in this draft I would draft in round one. Like receiver, a decent chance they'll be gone. Maybe one falls but I'm not betting on it.
Offensive tackle- are we not signing Alaric Jackson? Seems like everybody's moved on from him. I wouldn't. I wouldn't mind drafting Havenstein's eventual replacement but they doesn't help us in 25.
So I'm leaning towards a trade down for now. But if you trade to the early second, that's perfect for Hampton if you want him.
Yeah, it focuses on Kyren’s lack of explosiveness. Saying he gets less than is blocked for him though seems a bit subjective. More often he gets more than what is blocked for him. If Corum showed the same ability that Williams does running the ball and pass blocking then Kyren should be planning on his next stop. So far I don’t think the two are close enough in talent to think moving on from Kyren is a foregone conclusion.Another article stating facts on Ram RBs / Kyren Williams:

I actually like the class. I think it's full of guys who will perform better with better QB play (Darius Slayton, Elijah Moore types) and guys who have health related risks but are good (Diggs, Hollywood). This free agent class is slim pickings overall. It’s very thin at WR.
Snead and McVay tried to trade up to draft Jahmer Gibbs in the 23 draft.Has there been a Gurley level RB come out of college since Gurley?
Was Henry after Gurley?
Is there a college back in this draft that projects to have Gurley level ability? I’d bet McVay would love to have that level of impact back on the Rams for the next 4-5 years.
very high praise, Gurley was all time before injuredThat guy is the closest I’ve seen to a Gurley in recent years. He’ll probably be draftable as well depending what we do.
