This is why it was so stupid to give Kyren almost 100% of the snaps (among other reasons). We have no idea what we have in Corum. He has looked great when he gets the ball... but it is way too small of a sample size. Almost every RB room in the NFL is somewhat of a committee. I am pretty sure no RB was used as a bell-cow more than KW. That makes no sense. He's small, slow, has fumble issues, and an injury history. He is a great RB despite that. But why not work Corum in a bit more? Even his blitz pick-ups looked quite good. I don't want the Rams to pay him big money. If he'll take committee money, fine.

Been mock drafting already and all those names have come up a lot. I like KW, would hate to change him and Kupp out in the same season but too many good backs in this draft that will fall to us. I would like to keep KW and let him compete for the starts with a draft pick or two.

IMO we have bigger needs than drafting competition for our RB. We’re going to have massive holes at WR, potentially at LT, and ILB, potentially two corner spots, TE…

Honestly, I'd LOVE KW as our backup RB, but, there is no way he accepts a back up RB extension. Corum could be a much bigger threat for long gains, as he showed on several plays that were called back for a hold. I'm just still puzzled as to why the Rams wanted a carbon copy of what we already had instead of a fast weapon.

Let KW play out his current contract and test FA. Think he will find FAR less then 15m/yr. If he finds that, we get a comp and off the hook for all that money. Corum + an impact RB in this draft is the better route to go anyway, money aside.

This was brought up in a recent thread.

I'm interested to see everyone's opinion.

Firstly, IF traded who do you propose the Rams add to the RB corps?

A RB who just averaged 4.1 yards per carry with a fumbling issue entering the final year of his rookie contract during the same time the NFL draft is expected to have the best RB draft class in years.

Not much.

Yep, bad timing for KW trying to get paid but it might make sure he stays a Ram another season.
