I disagree here. I think Mason is a playmaker at the RB position. I just think our Oline isn't up to snuff yet. Gurley and Mason at RB is a super duper solid 1/2 punch.
I disagree with you on Mason but agree that Gurley is special. But Gurley doesn't count because he's not playing.

If he is not active tomorrow. I would say that he is still not ready physically.
Just because he isn't listed on the injury report doesn't mean he is ready to play. He missed a ton of work OTAs and has been out for almost 10 months. While he participated in camp he was not subjected to any contact. The one time he was taken to the ground on a contested pass, you could see the hesitation and concern on his face. The shoulder might be medically cleared to play. But the mental (confidence) might not be all the way back just yet.

Coach did'nt they remove the yellow cap from Quick and then that same cap was given to Gurley who was able to move on from it also? Coach I've seen so many posts over the years that more than implied test scores and the Reason Quick ended up at ASU instead of a bigger university. In my earlier post I said something Mental must be going on, As in just too afraid to get his shoulder hit. Yet when other coaches and Coordinators have been asked they refer the questioner to Coach Fisher after spouting a party line statement. Others know of what I speak. Coach something is up. I would never want to impune someones character or slander them as that is a sin. Cignetti said he was totally healthy then said to ask Coach Fisher about why he is not playing. Please Read the transcripts. There is something IN HOUSE going on. Maybe he just is afraid after all he's been through in having it happen again. That is just a guess. No one knows the truth but Fisher and he aint talkin truth about it. I stand by you 100% Coach but maybe you can find out the scoop for us with your connections.

Have not many practices taken place since the one you are referring too? Maybe you hit the nail on the head . How does one regain mental confidence in a rebuilt shoulder? As one would gain confidence in a rebuilt knee? Going down on a shoulder with so much weight again is not something you want to do again? GOD BLESS you and yours Coach. NO INJURIES!!!

Only reasonable explanation is that Quick suffered a setback. If it pertains to Quick of course.

It is also possible they are gonna move or cut someone. My guess there is Givens but who knows.

If true of course it means one or the other most likely: injury setback or trade/cut.

If we're looking to improve Toon and Washington are definitely the only people I'm calling back.

Toon intrigues me the most, he's the best among the lot. If he can stay healthy he would be a steal. He was starting to look legit, how much of that was Brees remains to be seen, but his hands, route running and ability to get open were top notch.

I'm sorry, my friend, but Toon is god awful. Washington might have potential as a steal. He tore up the preseason last year but then suffered a major injury. Didn't have the same impact this year. But Toon? No way. The dude isn't on the Saints for a reason...and that's after they dumped a bunch of their top weapons.

He was a bust of a pick that couldn't get on the field with them. Why? Because he doesn't separate. Nothing special about him. JAG.

If were trying out new receivers why not Hakeem Nicks

Hasn't looked good in years. Injuries sapped his explosiveness and he's had attitude/effort issues since that happened.

Was about to post the same about Washington. He's an interesting one.

Then why would the coaching staff say he's fine physically? It just makes people wonder about other stuff which wouldn't be fair to Quick if he truly was still hampered by his injury.

There's a difference between being medically cleared to play (physically healthy) and being game ready. I want to see him on the field as much as anyone, but in all honesty, I'm not surprised he hasn't been active yet.

His injury was severe. I doubt that many expected him to be anywhere close to where he is at this point. So keeping that in mind, IMO, they are being cautious with good reason. Many thought his injury was career threatening. So why the rush to put back out there?

As far as what Fisher says about it...: if people haven't figured out by now that most of what comes out of his mouth is "coach speak" then I'm not sure what to tell them.

Yea- Fish is to coach speak what Kroenke is to any kind of speak. That's isn't meant as a compliment.

Sooner or later you have to just tell the damn truth. If the kid is hurt mentally or physically no harm in stating he's just not game ready yet. Then we can all move on.

Since some are throwing out theories, I'll play......with Quick entering the final year of his contract anyway, the organization is mulling over a trade offer for his services. How about that?

My best guess, though is that this is a non story as it's my understanding the team works out players every week. Last week must have been WR week.

Why is Quick inactive, IMO? He doesn't play special teams.

morons... after today's embarrassment how about go look at some fucking tight ends Fisher! anything is better than this sorry shit
