Not a big deal but this statement seems to be wrong. If I read right, the Steelers moved up one round in '24 and down one in '25.

"meaning they still managed to move up a round in two drafts for surrendering a likely cut candidate."
The Steelers moved UP both times

Seems wrong to me if that's what happened. Can always count on accurate journalism haha

Did anybody see or notice Noteboom on the sidelines this last game? could you tell if he looked upset or uninterested? I wonder what the hell is going on with him.

From what I've seen, Noteboom has always been a reserved, quiet guy. Rarely see him smile or animated.

For example, here's an interview with him just after he signed his big extension and was named starting LT-- and he's still talking low and in a monotone.

I think Noteboom's injury isn't 100%, been saying this for a while and this trade would confirm it. I think Joe goes on IR to give him another year to heal and recondition himself. Or the Rams offer him an injury settlement and move on. Dotson is a marginal starter who played LG for the Steelers. His issues IMO are technique, training, and conditioning as well as film study related, i.e. mostly coaching related. I think we will see at best an average OG this year. I think he has Corbett level upsides i.e. he could develop into a good starting OG and he's young enough to warrant the effort by the Rams. I'm hoping as are the Rams this is another Corbett like trade.

I think this moves Avila to RG where most thought he would play when he was drafted.

LT Jackson
LG Dotson
C Allen
RG Avila
RT Havenstein

Swings: OT/OG McClendon, Thomas and C/OG Shelton and McAllister.

That said I think the primary backup at OG will be Thomas. He's got the size and arm length advantage over Shelton and McAllister who really are primarily centers. This IMO is still going to be a good OL and pushes Anchrum back to the PS. IMO as I posted before Anchrum's lack of length (play radius) and most of all his inconsistent play after 4 years is concerning.

I think Avila stays put. So twin was a RG in college, and probably should have stayed there

You might be right because he seems better suited to the right side. I only watched him with the Steelers and it was strictly on the left side what I saw. I was thinking muscle memory as far as this year was concerned.

May I ask- when F”
RU ever right? Gosh some post have been like THE WORST PREDICTIONS!! At this point I don’t have a clue Noteboom situation has me confused.
1.-I will say maybe a buy out,but more likely on the PUP list & back in 6 weeks? Noteboom is to valuable & means too much to The Rams.Mcvay LOVES & CARES for BOOM! That might be the better prediction.

2.Anchrum has earned the starting RG spot for now.A upgrade is needed(backup)
Your talking depth behind him to at least start the season.

3.Bruss IMO is basically GONE!(PS)

4. Zach Thomas is intriguing? More set a LG? I guess I didn’t see enough of the preseason.

5.McClendon is the only backup TACKlE ? Then again is Noteboom really hurt that bad ?
Just going off,not enough INFO.

6.Shelton is a TOTAL in game swing/guard that doesn’t have much value

7.This new OG needs time to get settled IMO.How he fits is probably going to be at RG.Anchrum was a 7th rd. Pick.He has never really started a NFL game.
8.Steve Avila is The Rams starting LG(plug & play)as a rookie.Mcvay has already stated he wants A’Jackson & Avila next to each other.
