Yeah, that was a joke. It’s obviously 24 hours max. They're 19 hours ahead of PST, per AI.

Lol, yeah its hard to talk about given the "time travel" aspect of things. The USA Pacific coast is 19 hours "behind" Melbourne.OK I think you've sufficiently succeeded in confusing me. Are you suggesting the game will be played before the opening weeks Sunday and then not televised until that Sunday?
Yes, this makes perfect sense.Update. Wednesday or Thursday

Report: 49ers-Rams in Melbourne will happen on Wednesday, September 9, or Thursday, September 10
Now that the 2025 NFL season has ended, attention has turned to the start of the next season.www.nbcsports.com
Yeah I was thinking they play Friday but a Wed/Thurs makes sense too. I never understood the playing the weekend before. They'd have to adjust a bunch of stuff.Yes, this makes perfect sense.
A game televised in USA on Sunday September 6th would have given the Rams and 49ers essentially an "extra" bye week and been unfair to other teams.
A game televised in USA on Sunday September 13th would have been unfair to both Rams and 49ers by depriving them of adequate rest afterward.
So a mid-week game is the way to go, and what I thought would happen. (My main point was that a "mini-bye" was the best solution.... I thought it might happen 2 days later, but I'll say I was close enough)![]()
Saw one of those too, looks like an absolutely terrible fan experience but hey there's a lot of seats to generate revenue sucks for the fans though.I think this AI rendering photo may have been posted earlier, but here's what the Rams-Niners game "might" look like in the Melbourne Cricket Ground stadium.
That stadium is used for Cricket and Australian rules football (the AFL). Both games have fields that are much larger than NFL fields, so the sightlines are gonna be a bit weird.
