I can live with this for now but hope we can sign someone better. Even so, this is positive, low grade, signing. He knows the system having played for the Vikings

This is our backup LT now.
Apparently he can play guard as well, so looks like a solid signing.
Lots of experience as well.
He will definitely be active on the game day roster, and he should be able to help the younger players also.

Certainly qualifies as a Survivor and Resilient Man, who really wanted to play pro football.

Drafted in 2013 but did not play a game until 2017; and did not start a game until 2019 when he was 29.

Cancer Survivor.
Diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2014. Career really did not get started until 2020 but over the past four seasons, Quessenberry (35 in August) has dressed for 66 out of a possible 68 games, with 24 starts.

Impossible NOT to cheer for a guy like that. Hope he can play a little LT, if needed ... But will Not be needed.

I like this. It's an emergency player with some starting experience and it is likely an upgrade over Arcuri and McClendon.
Playing in Minnesota under McConnell gives him some familiarity with the similar Rams System. The Rams still have some time to upgrade as well depending on how much gas he has left in the tank.

Very nice, a solid veteran for depth. Exactly what I wanted. Wouldn't mind adding another to be safe to make it through camp and preseason but definitely happy with this.

Did Quessenberry go against Jared Verse 1-on-1 during the Vikings playoff? If so, Verse just made him a turnstile or is he close to Jason Smith in 2009?

PFF has Quessenberry rated at 54.8 for his pass blocking last season.
Noteboom was rated 46.9
AJ Arcuri was rated at only 1.9

So definitely an upgrade there, although the bar wasn't exactly very high.

Not so much.

Quessenberry was the 3rd OT but played most of the 4th quarter at RT when the starter went down.

Good move. Veteran depth is never a bad thing imo. It’s insurance in case young depth doesn’t pan out.
They could even stick him on the PS as a one of the vets that can be placed there. He's not going anywhere.
