I know it is a bit early but the rams schedule and who they play in the future is popping up in a few threads so I thought I would post this:

The schedule isn't some quiet backroom decision - who you face home and away is a standardized formula.

Our 2016 home away opponent list...

To see our scheduled opponents next year (2 still to be decided, but we know exactly how they are determined) or actually into the foreseeable future...
not fun we get AFC EAST next year....and travel to PATs.....sigh

I tend not to worry about who we play that much. If you want to be a Super Bowl contender you have to be able to beat anybody. Super easy schedules don't do a team any favours. It just leads to a false sense of confidence setting up a crash and burn in the playoffs.

I will say that schedule, although tough, looks easier than this year's to me.

So we end up playing the nfc south and afc east, for the most part.

True but the dates are decided in a backroom. Obviously who plays in the primetime games is important, but there's also subtle advantages like home/away order (e.g. three away games in a row), bye week, front or backloading the schedule versus the better/worse teams, and perhaps the most underrated one -- cold weather dates (e.g. scheduled at Green Bay in December versus September) -- that have huge bias where the NFL plays clear favorites.

That NFC north game could end up being the Packers and the NFC East game the Cowboys.

Very very very very unlikely.

While the Bears could pass the Packers, it's not likely to happen. Pack will finish in 1st or 2nd place in their division.

The Cowboys are pretty much locked into last place.

I think we could finish behind the Niners, but 3rd place is more likely....which IMO would lead to matchups with the Eagles/Giants and Bears/Lions....my money would be on Eagles and Bears.

Which would make that the easiest schedule overall that we've had in a long time.

Looking forward to that New England game. Hopefully it will be early in the season with Quinn, Brockers and Donald all healthy. Would love to see a DL meeting at the QB a couple of times.

Specially if Josh McDaniels is coaching for us. :mrburnsevil:

I wouldn't mind going to a game in NO or Tampa again. I'm smellin' road trip.

very true...and it seems like some teams always get screwed by that. Just saying the who and where are fixed.

I actually like it a lot being preset like that.

I think I'll be in an executive box for the New Orleans game, looking forward to it.

I have told my wife several times, if this is the last year in STL then we are going there, or else its the New England game and as @RamFan503 said...road trip to NO or Tampa

But there is also the London game, but at this point that isnt looking too likely

Remember that all those teams have to play the Rams defense. They be like damn that week is gonna hurt.
