If we can get Foles just trading down from 10 to 20, color me ecstatic. 10 overall is kind of a dead spot for us anyway, a little too high for some of the OL we're looking at but not high enough for one of the elite WRs. If we trade down, we can sit at 20 and take whichever one of Peat, Scherff, Flowers, Collins, or Clemmings falls to us.

Honestly, I'd take foles for sure. He's relatively young, had a great season for the eagles in 13 but was average last year due to injury.

If we can get him for a third rounder I'd be stoked about that. Won't have to draft a QB, use our 1st and 2nd on OL.

How cool would it be to trade down with the eagles in the first get foles and the eagles 2nd or 3rd round pick. We all know the eagles are trying to trade up to get Mariota It may take multiple trades to do it and it could start with them moving up to 10 I would think it would take more than foles to get us to drop that far but who knows. depends on who is in on this bidding war or if there really is one.

I would swap picks for Foles. Straight up.
I doubt they would give us another pick. If they want MM, they're going to need them to move up.

Acquiring Foles could also give us more leverage with the Bradford camp. We will no longer be in a situation where all of our eggs are in the Bradford basket.

I'm listening to the Rich Eisen show and he's saying the latest rumor is the RAMS are trying o trade for Nick Foles.
IMO if they do it he's an instant upgrade over Hill or Davis.

Not sure if it's true or will happen but at the very least he's a decent insurance policy if we don't draft anyone or Sam doesn't come back 100%.

I think they should cut Bradford if they can get Foles.

Okay I read further on and saw the tweets. I guess they think Foles is their best option. He might be. Lets get it done.

What I wont like is if it costs a first rounder to get him. I'd say a 3rd or 4th but the Rams are short on one of those. How about a 3rd and 7th?

Rams, Titans, and Texans were mentioned as suitors in an ESPN article.

Texans re-signed Mallett and will be inking Hoyer on Tuesday so they're out.

Then this:

Nope. McCoy isn't in their territory. But he is in the very good territory and thus I'd pay him. Why? He's going to give you the impact that a #1 WR will at the price of a top tier #2 WR($8 million a year).

I thought McCoy was due 11 million from the Eagles and that is part of why they traded him.

I just hope we aren't trading any of our players away. Although Foles is a legitimate upgrade over what we have I would still like to see us draft a QB.

What if it was just a swap of first round picks? We get 20, they get 10. It puts us in a better spot to not reach for OL help, too. 10 is too high for most of the lineman, anyways. You take LT's with top 10 picks and that's not where we'd be playing any player we took at 10 unless GRob doesn't pan out and that guy surprises.

It at least has me considering it.

I don't think moving down 10 spots hurts us too much. We could still get a starter on the o line but get Foles as well to provide competition for Bradford? Seems like a no brainer to me.

I am doubtful that the Jets wouldn't be the ones taking Mariota--or the ones trading with the Eagles.

And most likely miss out on Kevin White/Amari Cooper?

Pass

White/Cooper aren't going to be there anyway and even if they were we have WRs. We have massive gaps on the OL and no healthy QB right now, though. It's pretty clear to see which option help us the most..

That's if your offense considers the RB the focal point of your offense, however, Chip Kelly believes in three areas of strength the offensive & defensive lines along with the Quarterback position all the other parts are interchangeable.
He also rules the locker room, and if a guy isn't 100% on board, he's not getting a ride, or he's catching another bus.

1) We had more talent on the D-line last year, yet Aaron Donald was the pick. BPA all the way
2) "We have WRs" is extremely debatable - and I sure as hell don't think there's one the roster that is/could be an upgrade over White or cooper..WR is still a lacking position on this team - and seeing as how we can't even get one to crack a 1000 yards in 7 or 8 years, I hardly believe the position is set.

Yes, I would take Cooper or White at 10 overall if they were there over the OL in this draft, I never said I wouldn't. All things being equal though, if we could pick up a legit starting QB, trade back and still get a good player at a position of more need I don't see how that possibly couldn't be the preferable option.
