I can not see his point at all. This "pure betting standpoint".......................... THAT is the problem.
I am a real Rams fan and want the game over in the 1st quarter. Up by as many points as humanly possible.
If you do not want that, your gambling is far too important and you are not a true Rams fan IMO.
Gambling is kinda like porn, it rots your mind.

And in the real world the things we want and the things we get are rarely the same.

Looks like someone opened a fortune cookie!!!

J/k just trying to inject some humor here and get the thread back on track!
Rams need to set the tone early, Carolina is not a team that can come back from a big deficit
And they truly have the look of a team who's just happy to be there

I mean we really moved the ball right down the field on every drive in this game except for 2. One was a 3 and out and the other was a pick 6. If we just finish drives and don’t turn the ball over we could easily score 40+.

Also I hope McVay has thought about how he wants to handle lightning delays. Because afternoon thunderstorms are in the forecast. I think you have to go a full 30 minutes with no lightning in the vicinity of the stadium before you can resume play. Each lightning strike resets the clock. Theres a chance we get a delayed kickoff or there could be a stoppage of play or there could be both.

Oh, I do not understand it huh ? More like, I will not lower myself into winning a bet if my beloved Loa Angeles RAMS LOSE !
You are trying to rationalize your gambling issue with winning a pretty good sized bet on either the Rams losing or winning a nail biter.
Real Rams fans hope we blow them out by 40 points. Its part of the deal.
Gambling is fucking up the game. You know it, I know it.
I disagree. I think the NFL's hypocrisy of it is what sucks. They should give the families of Alex Karras and Paul Hornung the money they lost while suspended with accrued interest. But that's for another discussion.

If somebody wants to bet on a Rams opponent that's fine but it is weird. He has to watch this game with the risk of not enjoying a Rams blowout. I can't think of anything worse. Of course if he does enjoy it, then he must have more money than he needs so why bet that way to begin with?

I'd take that bet (Rams - 10.5) because they are playoff experienced and will turn it up many more notches than Carolina. Not to mention the much better team.

Like Nick Wright said yesterday, Carolina better not win because then they'll end up paying Young which ain't the right move for their future.

you know this is the perfect storm for a ram's loss. 10.5-point favorite. not a good sign, there are a few of former rams' coaches and players on the panthers who have Stafford's number. let's hope he's on and the defense steps up because it's going to be super embarrassing if the panthers win only to go on to lose to Seattle.

Yes, huge favorites on the road. Never a good recipe for the good guys. Hopefully that changes Saturday. This just feels like a game that comes down to a FG at the end to win. Swing that leg Mevis, no remorse, no regrets. Go Rams.

I mean, at least for me, it’s hard to blame QBs for batted balls at the line of scrimmage. Unless it’s something that happens with regularity. That’s something pretty much out of their control. And that’s what caused the first turnover.

But the next two were bad and his responsibility 100%.
Stafford throws a lot of sidearm and "bullet" straight line, low trajectory passes.
So a few batted balls go with the territory.

I just don't bet on Rams games. I am to bias. Positively or Negatively. Prop bets or season outcome bets, a different story.

An anti-porn reference? NOW you've crossed the line.

Very concerned about Dedich at RG. Hopefully Dotson can go. If not then the panthers will attack the Dedich/Shelton combo to get pressure up the middle. Bears watching.

Something to note: We did whatever we wanted to do on the ground against them in the last game. Corum averaged nearly 12 yards a carry, Kyren near 6. They didn't have their 2 best players in the secondary, which they will have in this game. Its likely to rain most of the game.

Run the ball down their throats. No need to get cute. Run until it doesn't work anymore.

I don't gamble, because in this case, there is to much human "error" involved.
Referees.
Coaches.
Players.

Looks like temps Saturday will be fairly warm for this time of year. Near 70. But its also predicted to be a wet day.
