I just hope that Tutu doesn’t start bullying Forbes around. The battles between this dude and Tutu in practice are going to be insane when defense is doing press coverage.

You still have to wonder why washington would release him being the draft capital they have investedThis time of year if you need roster help the pickings will be slim. Still I dont see much downside to bringing him in.
All I can think of is "gruesome Newsome." So what is the joke?
Couple things here. From my understanding they're one of the highest man coverage defenses in the league, I'm pretty sure that's a Quinn thing. Honestly I didn't delve too deep into it. Look I get it and I've said I hope for the best with a change of scenery. I'm just trying to be honest here a lot of people look at what he did in college and ignore the almost 2 years of him being really really bad in the NFL. Again I hope for the best I'm just not gonna say it's all rainbows and unicorn farts here. This guy has major issues hell PFF had him 20 points lower than T White who we couldn't get rid of fast enough as fans because he was terrible. To them this guy is worse.
As I've said more times than I can count I hope the change of scenery does him well and he kills it for the Rams. This seems to be conveniently ignored on this subject.Couple things here.
First, I said the dude plays the fucking ball. Which, on the video I linked of him playing for the Commodes, he does on more than one occasion. This does not mean he always plays the ball. Or that I expect he'll always play the ball. Or that he plays ball, which is a different assertion entirely.
Second, nobody is talking him up as some amazing find. I think we all realize this guy was cast off as a first round pick by a team that could use the same stuff we are looking for. But since this thread is about welcoming a new Ram player I think it's appropriate to give the dude cred that he at least has the talent to actually do the things we need done.
Oh I get what you're saying and we agree. As for the bolded aside from a few plays he honestly has not proven that he can play at this level. If he did he wouldn't have been cut he wouldn't have been 7th on the Commodes depth chart and he would not be a Ram.
I am a big fan of old movies; and that's William Powell and Myrna Loy (huge stars in the 1930s and 1940s). They starred in a series of romantic comedies as a married couple who solved murder mysteries. All I can think of is "gruesome Newsome." So what is the joke?

I did watch it. I just don't think a short clip will tell the whole story. We can get a clip like that of highlights from Kendrick and T White as well.Oh I get what you're saying and we agree.
Thing is I simply said the dude can play the ball. Look at the highlights I linked, that you replied to. I think your reply took what I said out of context, and you're running down the field with it when the play's been blown dead amigo.
We needed someone to challenge Tutu pound for pound! The battles between this dude and Tutu in practice are going to be insane when defense is doing press coverage.

Precisely. Hope the kid works hard and taps into those abilities.Worth the shot as a reclamation project. He's long and had elite ball-skills coming out of college.
When you draft a corner they come out of the draft with raw abilities. Not all of them have the ability to play the ball at the NFL level.I did watch it. I just don't think a short clip will tell the whole story. We can get a clip like that of highlights from Kendrick and T White as well.
The two could easily be competing with each other next training camp for a roster spot so might be more right than you think. The board has their new Kendrick.
I was thinking the same thing...beat me to it. Hill had no ball skills, this guy seems to have that ability however. More of an issue of run support and maybe over aggressiveness in coverage and getting burned.Reminds me of Tye Hill. Hopefully he can get his head around to defend passes.
