Also what is crazy here is when you look at each team and ask the question of whether they need a QB. And as that pertains to the teams at the top of the draft can you assume the QBs like let's say Shough, Milroe, Dart, etc will be on the board end of round 1? Because if not then you're quickly deeper into what should be midround options due to the lack of QB value at the top.
For example here's the first round courtesy of tankathon:
We have Tennessee looking hard at Cam and it seems he may go at the top. Browns I presume would take the elite Edge, however they also need a QB. NY (both teams) need QB. Vegas needs QB. New Orleans needs QB. That's 6/10 teams in the top third alone, and while obviously all of them won't reach for a QB it's likely we see Cam go off in the top 3 so you have a lot of desperation at play here.
Also in the teens you have teams like Dallas, Indy, Arizona, Seattle who either need QB or will soon whether they realize it or not. So maybe ten teams total before Pittsburgh is on the clock who could potentially pull the trigger if they like one of these QBs.
IF teams don't reach for QB up top... Then we may be talking trade down options for the Rams as those early choosing teams vye to get back into late round one to get the option they prefer. 20s may end up being "QB reachville." I wouldn't hate this scenario, as it then allows the Rams to get one of them if McVay prefers. And to me not only do I want a QB on the depth chart who has some upside to him due to Stafford and the issues we've had for two offseasons running, but I also want McVay to be energized by that young QB presence he can pour into. But if they don't like any of the options then move down should be available.
