Can't recall how far is Woodland Hills from Inglewood. Is it closer than their current digs in Thousand Oaks?

Depending on traffic and how fast one drives, W.H. is about 15 minutes closer to Inglewood.

Google maps tells me TO is about 15ish miles more but the traffic on those roads will decide what takes longer.

Woodland Hills is at the west end of the San Fernando Valley.

Thousand Oaks is over a set of hills past Woodland Hills on the 101. Basically, Thousand Oaks is behind Malibu. Just take one of the canyon roads away from the ocean and for most of them, you'd end up in Thousand Oaks.

The only issue with West Valley is that in the summer, that place COOKS... It can get super hot and the air quality is slightly worse than in Thousand Oaks, but not remarkably so.

But yeah, from Inglewood, Woodland Hills is somewhere between 15-45 minutes closer... because for real...FUCK the 101. There's a reason Kobe used to take a chopper from his home to his Mamba Academy... that commute at literally any hour is a complete and ungrateful bitch. I used to have to drive it to work at 2 or 3am depending on my start time and I could STILL end up on a traffic jam...

So... Why does it matter which is closer to SoFi? What am I missing?

I see zero reason anyone should care. Are players commuting between SoFi and their practice facility? Do any of the players live in Inglewood?

Fill me in here.

I dunno... for people who don't live near, never been to and don't know the LA metro area and are just curious, it can just be that.

Like if the Denver Broncos had a practice facility in Arvada, one could simply ask, "Is that close to the stadium?"

doesn't really matter, it's just like small talk.

At least, that's what I get with questions like that.

Could be I suppose. But would they know where Inglewood is and what any of that means anyway?

Just seems odd.

I'm curious if the Rams will install a helicopter pad at the Woodland Hills location for Kroenke, and if Stafford has one built at his Hidden Hills home ? You know, fuck those daily commutes when you can just rent a chopper.

Jeannie Buss has no money beyond the Lakers value. Stan could buy her many, many times over. She can”t help Dean anything — heck, I think Dean is worth way more than Jeannie.

Really ? How did her dad make his money to buy the Lakers?

lol - just brings up a bad memory, but yeah from the OC might as well forget about it.
Ask Bubba Ram about driving out that way.Of course Oxnard is further, but El Segundo is where it’s at.

Yeah - The Truth is if your looking at location it’s basic. El Segundo is the best location for playing at SOFI.

Westlake is better for players & coaches who like Thousand Oaks.
It’s a little closer.

Real estate. He then leveraged his holdings to buy the Lakers and pretty much morphed into sports ownership. So...yeah...aside from ownership in lesser sports leagues, the Lakers are pretty much it. Unless of course WOW is worth a bunch but I'm not sure she still has anything to do with that.

I read that and think of Kobe. His Mamba Academy is in that area.

I believe the Mamba Academy is in Thousand Oaks, and the crash site was in Calabases.
Sorry, didn't mean to evoke that tragic memory.

All good. It’s the same area with mostly the same weather… so a chopper in that area for a commute?

I can see it, I’ve made that commute by car (drove from Culver City next to Inglewood to Oxnard just south of Ventura and a fair bit past Thousand Oaks) every day for almost 3 months… and even with that…. I worried about chopper commutes before. Now? It’d worry me sick.

Perfect - just think she has Big Time connections in LA ,El Segundo to help Spanos. She is not the one buying the property.
