Devaney has been gone a long time.Whew, I would've lost it if it were Billy.
The truth is, even the tuned in Rams fans that recognize him and heard his name years ago have no idea how big of an impact he has on our picks. Just like we really have no idea how big Brad Holmes' impact was. Only insiders would know this stuff.Sorry Elm. A lot of us are very tuned into the organization and in hindsight, might recognize him but have no clue as to the actual level of involvement or how big of an impact the guy had on our picks. I’m guessing the same for almost every ROD member.
That’s not to discount his impact. But the first time I ever heard his name or thought about hearing his name was when we found out he was heading to Jax.
Either was it STINKS !!!The truth is, even the tuned in Rams fans that recognize him and heard his name years ago have no idea how big of an impact he has on our picks. Just like we really have no idea how big Brad Holmes' impact was. Only insiders would know this stuff.
At the end of the day, I give all credit/blame to McVay for the coaching staff and all credit/blame to Snead for the personnel department.
Agree, promotion or self-preservation. I mean, if I'm working at a company and they hire someone new from the big company internship program, with a Stanford MBA, to do a lot of what I do, then they feature the new hire in team videos and not me, and then they promote the new hire over me, moving on might probably be a good move. This one I don't like but it makes sense as he was probably looking for a promotion from the Rams once Gladstone left. They gave the job to Nichole Blake instead.
He was Snead’s right hand man and considered our best scout. He will take every part of the Rams drafting strategies with him and he also took their top tech guy who created all of the spread sheets they use. He likely has a copy of the questionnaire they had privately developed to discern leadership. This will create more competition for the types of players the Rams target. In Holmes first two draft he chose players that the Rams were targeting. Nobody is saying it’s a huge ordeal, but it is a loss in more ways than one.The truth is, even the tuned in Rams fans that recognize him and heard his name years ago have no idea how big of an impact he has on our picks. Like I posted before, but the timing is HORRIBLE!!! Totally STINKSHe was Snead’s right hand man and considered our best scout. And then we lose another valuable piece of our draft team to that same asshole.

"Temme played a big role in the Rams' recent run of great draft picks, including receiver Puka Nacua, according to a feature from The Athletic's Jordan Rodrigue. Temme helped build and run programs that determined which players to target and — ultimately — what picks to make. He was also one of the few members of the front office who sat with the key decision-makers like head coach Sean McVay, general manager Les Snead, Gladstone and scouting strategist Nicole Blake during drafts."
Anyone else been sick of all this stealing our staff shit since... say 5 years ago?
