The Rams have done pretty good with the draft with him as director of scouting

we'll see how they do this year

James Gladstone does all the work ?

Les Snead gets all the credit ?
Well…many folks here also felt that losing Brad Holmes to the kneecaps was going to be a major blow. Nope. Now it’s Snead’s lead scouts that are the true brains of the organization? lol.

Same as McVay losing a couple dozen assistants in the last 8 years and yet the status quo of success remains.

Snead and McVay and the people they surround themselves with is the key.

It's part of being a successful franchise. Brad Holmes was a loss. I'm sure Gladstone will be a loss. But we should have the infrastructure in place to keep on trucking.
Sure the Rams recovered in time.

But, it's still worth noting that immediately after Holmes left, the infrastructure in place then assisted in a Rams Draft of Tutu Atwell, Ernest Jones, Bobby Brown, Robert Rochell, Jacob Harris, Earnest Brown, and Jake Funk.

That year the Lions drafted Penei Sewell, Levi Onwuzurike, Alim McNeill, & Amon-Ra St. Brown. But yes, they had higher draft choices in each round.

Its all a business, but this is dirty business. Nothing is original. Its all about greed at the end of the day. McVay will find someone, but they would have to be equally or better than what Gladstone offered.
A guy goes and pursues a better job and you call it greed

Jesus, go build something

Consider timing. By the time February and March roll around, the draft team has already done 90% of their assessments on players. At least per Jourdan.

So the players they selected that year had a lot of Holmes input and influence. It would be more compelling if you said the next year was subpar.

Well, you forgot one big name. Despite our first pick coming at #57 and our second pick coming at #104, we came away with Ernest Jones, Bobby Brown, Tutu Atwell, Ben Skowronek, AND Alaric Jackson (UDFA). Considering the lack of draft capital, that's a good haul. Tutu was certainly a whiff, but that happens to even the best GMs. And despite not becoming the player we hoped he'd be, he still developed into a solid WR. We made up for that miss by landing an above average LT in undrafted free agency.

Rams off-season is never complete until some dude no one has ever mentioned or barely knows leaves and then income the posts of dismay and tragedy.
Well then it show what you know about Rams football.I guess all these people around the NFL from The Rams doesn’t mean anything ?

Way to go Holmes

McNiel, was reported to be a Rams target. I wonder how many others were.

I could be wrong. There could be exceptions. However, I believe scouting changes typically occur after the Draft ... which makes sense. But, it is because It Makes Sense, that it May Not be the case.
Explain more ??? Trying to read into this ??

Really wanted to see how good James Gladstone & The Rams scouts did in 2025 ??

Disappointing, but if I was to guess The Rams always promote players, coaches ext-

The job Gladstone got is a chance of a Lifetime & especially at his age. He seems like a natural Draftn’k guy.

Not sure what is confusing. Be more specific.

Gladstone can recruit and hire Rams' scouts but ... I don't believe ... that can happen until AFTER the Draft.
On the other hand, I’d think the guys Gladstone would want to bring with him know that already. So how hard will they work for the Rams if they *wink wink* might be leaving?

Great. I maintain, its completely ridiculous that teams don't get some compensation for their entire organization being gutted every offseason. It is fairly odd that if he was African American, we would get 2 3rd round picks, but since he is not we get zilch.
