Where's the arm strength, accuracy, pocket awareness, etc ratings?
Part of the Holy Trinity of the Dirty South.
Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Those are unmeasurables, but Allen can sling it. His accuracy, not as good as Goff, but improved every year, and pocket awareness, he tucks and goes baby!
Goff has a way higher ceiling, is more accurate, currently, and has a better arm, but I really like Allen as a third guy.
I'm not saying, bench Goff.

A three-year starter for the Razorbacks, Allen really came on in the second half of his senior year to open the eyes of scouts. In fact, the Fayetteville native, son of the school's director of high school and NFL relations, and one-time Arkansas High School Player of the Year improved each year. He completed less than 50 percent of his passes for 1,552 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore, hit 56 percent of his passes for 2,285 yards and 20 scores in 2014, and then connected on 66 percent of throws in 2015 for 3,340 yards and 30 touchdowns (against just eight interceptions). This improvement isn't lost on the eyes of NFL teams.
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS
Showed substantial growth as field leader and playmaker. Comfortable under center and is effective on bootlegs and rollouts. Completion percentage jumped from 56 percent in 2014 to 66 percent this year. Outstanding 64 percent rate on intermediate throws. Good catch-and-run ball placement on crossing routes. Sneaky arm talent. Able to pump fake, reset and throw with accuracy. Swift setup in the pocket with a prompt release. Gets ball out in rhythm in rollouts. Rotates hips through throws for quality velocity. Arm to make NFL throws and has drive velocity and accuracy to challenge tight windows in middle of the field. Able to extend plays outside the pocket and find a throw or scramble for first downs. Doubled completions of 20-plus yards from 24 (2014) to 48 this year.
WEAKNESSES
Smallish frame takes hard hits when he runs. Benefited from play-action based passing attack. Just over 40 percent of his dropbacks were out of play-action. Rarely looks to take deep shots down the sideline against man coverage. Not asked to get through very many progressions and brings safeties to his throws by staring down his targets. Could make life easier by moving safeties around with his eyes. When pocket heats up, he will drop eyes and look to bolt.

On the other hand, Allen has a quick release, an NFL arm, solid accuracy and good mobility. Allen needs to find the right home and eliminate his tendency to stare down targets, but he has enough talent to become an NFL backup.

Allen is a gamer and played well at Arkansas, but I'm not high on him to be more than a backup and I understand that Olson coached him with the Jags, but he coached Orlovsky too, time for Greg Olson to focus on the two quarterbacks the Rams have because IMO, they are better than what he's trying to bring in.

I remember when he first made that report, but it was dismissed when I pointed it out as evidence that Goff was likely safe as the starter.
I'm going to stick with my prediction that he's our future #2 QB.
You think Allen will be our #2? I'm ok with that. Allen seems to be the prototypical backup QB. Shaun Hill if you will. And it would mean that we moved Mannion for some picks.

Not sure how much Mannion will fetch, hopefully a mid round pick, but I wouldn't be shocked if they just decide to cut him if they feel that Allen is ready for that #2 spot.. That likely doesn't happen until next year, my guess is Allen is the scout team QB this year. My assumption is that this year McVay wanted to make sure he got the guys he wanted in the most important positions, LT, C, WR, TE, etc... Next year he'll be focusing on getting the guys he wants into those secondary type positions, guard, depth players, etc. He's likely letting Wade worry about defense while he worries about offense.

Of course every time a qb is added is because Mannions not a fit just to see Mannion outlast them all
I'm definitely ok with the team Trading Mannion if they get a good draft slot, but if Goff goes down Mannion is WAY more pro ready then he is. If people wasn't impressed with Mannion in the preseason I don't see how you get excited about this pick up potentially replacing Mannion. That's going backwards at an important position
I totally disagree and I can only go with what I see with my eyes, but Mannion has performed very well in preseason last season and this season, so I don't understand how they can be dissatisfied with him. Again I know what Allbright is reporting, but it does not pass the eye test for me.

I can't imagine they'd get rid of Mannion now even if they're planning on making Allen the #2 QB.. That would probably happen next year though, not this year, would be stupid to do that this year in my opinion.
