In an alternate universe Stafford retired after the 2022 season and Mayfield is still playing for the Rams.
I know some were disappointed with the score. Thought we shoulda won by more. But it was a road game outdoors. Windy. Cloudy and while no rain I'm sure the air felt damp. The Ravens have always fielded a good defense every year. They got a couple key guys back from injury and played a good game. Fortunately our defense was better. It sure seems like the Rams and Stafford start the 2nd half half of most games with a nice scoring drive. Thats always a good thing.
As good as Mayfield looks today I'm sticking with my main man Matt.

The biggest difference in the game to me was our defensive line owned their offensive line.
That goal line stop was made by some real men.
All that pressure and sacks even of the very mobile Tyler Huntley sealed the deal.
Cool to see Landman punch the ball out and Verse finish it off.
All those defensive lineman and being able to rotate them even had us fresh at the end of a game with a beast like Henry.

Agree, it gives insight into the character of McVay. I would imagine that there was interest from Mayfield to be a Ram but rather than sit behind Stafford my guess is McVay supported his looking for a starter gig.
Amazing story how Mayfield came in on a late flight on a Wednesday and started on Sunday and won the game with some of his miracle stuff.

The Bucs (look like) they are about to win their 5th game. They were 4-1 and have that record by winning by a total of THREE points.
So it really doesn't matter if you win by 30 or 3. Yes, our heart rates would be much better with easy wins but in this league you never know. I guess if there's a silver lining, imagine when we are clicking in all three phases...

Cherry picking quotes from a GDT is crazy work. Of course people are going to be frustrated with this team....as evidenced by my quoted comment about the 2025 Rams being frustrating, haha. I stand on that.

Ty Hamilton's quick penetrating contain on Zay Flowers made him lose his second fumble as well. They're steadily playing him and Tyler Davis (a 2024 sixth-round draftee) more and more in the interior line, and I'm all for it.
When Fiske and Turner start to get home more with outside pressure from V8, Agent Zero, and Stewart, it's going to be fun to watch.
And I'm glad they're slowly integrating Ferguson and Mumpfield. I'd love to see Hunter more on kick returns with Whittington taking a larger role in the offense.
Rams are 4-2 and have not even sniffed a clean game. That's awesome. Please keep getting better, Rams!!

I believe the Rams and the Chargers will be putting up ther most travel miles this season

but with the Rams staying on the Easr Coast this week before the trip to London, that number may go down

I was pissed at halftime boy. But the defense kept this one from becoming the typical "Rams play down to the weak opponent and then need to pull it out late" heart attack game. Really appreciate how they played.
4-2 feels good. Rams really haven't played all that well either, but it's a good record and they've been in their losses. So overall this helps rinse some of that shit taste from the SF loss out.
Still need this OL to get rolling. And still hoping they trade for a corner but I'm gonna sleep a lot better tonight.

Also, for all of our faults on our team, we could be much worse.
We got Puka Nacua with a fifth-round pick in 2023. The Ravens selected Zay Flowers with the 22nd overall pick in that draft, and while he's been good, he has lost them some very big games (including this one), and Nacua is arguably the best receiver in the league, up there with Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase.
Byron Young and Kobie Turner were third-round picks in that draft. Steve Avila? Second-round pick. Warren McClendon, who acquitted himself beautifully at right tackle? A fifth-round pick in that class. Ethan Evans, who has been the only good part of our not-so-very-special special teams? A seventh in that class.
For all of our faults, we are doing admirably. Our drafting and selections of players late has kept us afloat.
