I was pulled into a thread into a thread that I had not participated in for reasons I still don't know then the same person keeps insulting me. This is a prime example of why I don't participate very much here any more and I don't go into GDT and these threads for this very reason.
I get it. I just want it to stop in this thread. I will keep deleting posts from those who don’t get that. It’s not directed at you. It’s directed at any posts that are not about the win.

Saw it live at M&T stadium.
Rams offense was bad. Ravens was just worse.
Missed FG and opting out of another short FG to go for it on 4th down continues to draw attention to our kicking woes.
Ravens defense played hard the first half. Rams defense was solid the whole game.
After the Rams goal line stance to end the first half - it seemed the air left the Ravens sails. Ugly but a much needed ‘W’.

I always think games look worse in person.

And I can never really understand why.

Maybe because the TV production is just that good.

People say we need to get rid of Karty.

I am saying - even if we get rid of Karty, we will have a horrible kicking game.

I don't think the snapper has been doing a hot job this year.
Yeah I agree, It could be numerous things together working against us, generally I like to think there is a single simple solution but not sure that is the case here.
There are rumors the ball is juiced to help kickers kick longer FG's they call it a new K Ball maybe this ball isn't good for all kickers.
Karty may be a little down on confidence.
Execution Execution Execution has been off

We will get it together but it has been an adventure

I think confidence is the bigger issue here. Well, confidence and our horrendous blocking and snapping on special teams. I don't think Karty is responsible for all the blocked kicks.

I am certainly guilty of being negative in the GDT, but really I’m just venting to my Rams brothers in the moment when something pisses me off.

A road win on the other side of the country in not ideal weather conditions is great for this team. We can build on that.

Ultimately a win is a win. Doesn’t need to be pretty.

It’s just frustrating when you know this team, when it’s firing on all cylinders, can be unstoppable. We just aren’t seeing that team much.

Some of the concerns I have are the slow starts, lack of consistency on offense (which I think is fixable and comes with time), and the ST unit. The latter is something I fear will be our Achilles heel. It needs to be fixed ASAP. Go Rams!!!

You take a win however it comes but...

I only saw it on RZ so no sense of the back-and-forth but I gotta wonder against a better team they probably lose that with the injuries and uneven play.

I think Marty wasn’t responsible until today.. I think they got his confidence shot … that and maybe the knue balls had something to do with it

Karty has had a few issues but the whole damn kicking team is at fault. I believe Karty is a good kicker and I'm not going to believe we are better without him at this time. I'm hoping McVay does some of his bye week magic and fixes the issues and hopefully it doesn't bite us in the arse against Jags.
I agree with McAfee that these knuckle ball kickoffs has affected his FG kicking. It's like playing with your golf swing or trying to have two different golf swings. Or a baseball player tweaking his swing.

I think it's about seeing elite athleticism up close.

At the stadium, from a bit of distance, I'll think, "oh I could have made that catch."

But watching up close on TV I'll think, "oh my God he's an athletic freak that's insane."

Could be, although I hope that's not the case.

I still wonder about the timing of the kicks. I remember late last year how Blackburn told Karty "not to rush" on his kicks. Hope it's not in Karty's head now.

Here's a quote from Blackburn in December of 2024:

"He (Karty) left early, got quick, and expedited it, which just adds an element of not being able to see the ball down as long. You rush into it, your leg just doesn't quite catch up, you leave it out and things like that."

Same here. Didn't think he could develop to this level.

He always had that speed, but he's really refined technique, and his arms look huge and he's a load to handle now.

I wonder if Verse got BY on his workout routine and "Protein drink" cocktails.
His lateral movement and overall game awareness are the things that jumped out to me this season as being things he's grown in.
