It did take McVay and Stafford a long time to come up with answers on those looks. I'm legit hoping Seattle doesn't borrow some of the Bear's concepts.
I just remember that one play where Williams totally missed the bltiz pickup (not his usual work), not sure what was going on but them bringing pressure on the edges was a real issue for our guys.

KW just missed his assignment.

For some reason, it seemed that McVay and Stafford only wanted chunk plays 15-20 yards down the field. They finally started running more and accepting the underneath stuff, which countered the edge pressure, and they score on a 14 play drive.

The not running in the game was really blowing my mind. Sure, I think they tightened things up with their run blitzes but there were runs there all game... and then only running it on our last series before end of game. Ugh.

Old School thanks for all the cool posts. I could watch Baldy talk about that goal line stand all day.
1- I love the fact that seachickens blew out niners, because all of the big media bobble heads are talking
" Oh my gosh, This seashit Defense is the greatest in the world" followed seashit this and seashit that.
Keep the talk coming!! Cause our defense got ears!! And MATTY ICE is coming to town and he's bringing
Hell with him !!!

The early segment of today's Get Up (Friday, January 23rd) had a love-fest for Matthew Stafford.

Louis Riddick started it with a comment that he played against Marino, Elway, Steve Young and Brett Favre; and in his opinion Matthew Stafford is the "Most talented passer of the football I have ever seen."

Bart Scott then responded that he played against Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees; and
"Matthew Stafford was the Most talented guy I went against."

Peter Schrager than pointed-out how Stafford plays his best in clutch situations, providing several examples; adding "The thing that players respect the most there's no tougher person in the NFL than Matthew Stafford "
