Titans have a good defense and Jeffrey Simmons can wreck game plans quickly... especially if we're missing starting guards. Our defense should be able to feast in this game though. If we block as poorly as we did against the Texans it might be a similar type game. I'm not expecting it to be close though but I rarely get what I expect it seems lol.

I expect a game similar to the Texans game.
The Rams interior OL might be in for a very long day vs the Titans DL.
Limmer and Shelton in particular with give one an ulcer if you rewatch the Texans game.
I do expect the Titans to hang in early and the Rams to pull away late.

One thing I lost sight of going in to week one, was the fact that our first string and large portions of our second string and role players haven’t played in the actual games since last year. I mean, they played scrimmages and practiced obviously but no real games. Shoot Stafford hasn’t even practiced until recently. So I misjudged the amount of rust they would have to pound off in week one. Couple that with the fact that the Texans are a good team and we under performed a bit.

Depending on health I think we’ll do better this week and scrape more of that rust off. We need to get a lot sharper for week three when we go to Philly that’s for sure.

This is why Oline depth is so important.

Why I wanted an Olineman in the draft, someone like Grey Zabel or Booker

Oline injuries are a 90% hit rate.

Love the regime but they get way too cute in the draft.

If Limmer has to go, which seems likely, I have to imagine this is a really run- heavy game for the Rams. Between him and Shelton, trying to keep Simmons from killing Stafford will be nearly impossible. Time to pound that rock.

We have to keep Stafford healthy, so I expect us to go run heavy. Give me some TE screens too (Ferguson?).

I expect our D to handle business against a rookie QB that had some issues holding onto the ball for too long last week. 6 sacks and under pressure 52% of his drop backs. Denver has a great D, but I think our pass rush is better

I'm glad they went after a TE this year but yeah McVay and Snead tend to value playmaker types over the linemen. At least the offensive linemen they seem to prefer taking shots on them mid to late. And unfortunately while there's plenty of excellent linemen who were taken in that range, it doesn't seem like the Rams are any good at finding them.

I think they need a new OL coach. They need to keep trying to hit on that staff spot until they hit on it, because if McVay had a top OL coach he'd be even better.

Good to hear Dotson is playing. Don’t care about Parkinson. Fergs doesn’t have to play a lot but he needs to play and steadily ramp it up over the course of the season. If he is indeed a weapon then get him in there.

Avila has been underwhelming since his rookie season. I wonder if Dedich has a very solid game against the Titans if the Rams ride with him until proven otherwise. It's a tall task but I'm all for better play at the LG position.
