Or concede the first down one time. Have your D line purposely go offsides and blast all of their linemen on their ass to send a message.
This reminds me what I've been hoping teams do to Patrick Mahomes when he does that cheap shit on the sidelines running out of bounds. (he fakes going out to deliver a hit on a CB, or slows up and flops on the boundary) The only thing worse than a 15 yard late hit penalty is a half-ass late hit penalty. If Patrick is even remotely close to the boundary, light the dude up.

If the Brotherly Shove can't be defended, at least make their offense think twice about deploying it. I'd have all the guys in the box smash early in unison. Give up 5 yards instead of 2 to put risk of injury on their guys instead of ours.

This is the first time I’ve heard McVay ever be negative and especially about officiating and allowing the Eagles run the play with a rolling start.

Even as early as Pop Warner, officials are taught to flag fouls that create an advantage for each team. This creates a huge advantage though from the line judge and down judge positions, they need to be on the field and closer to the action to really get a good read on false starts and offsides on that play.

"False start... Eagles."

I think the only way to stop them from getting a yard with it is to ban it...but I don't wanna see that. They figured it out let's let our DCs and HCs earn them paychecks and figure it out. Someone out there is smarter than the rest of us.

I agree with @FaulkSF you got a make that fucker not wanna do it. Take the penalty, I don't care. I would gladly take 15 yards to make him hesitate the next time. I don't see any other way, the way they allow them to lineup like it's a damn field goal is crazy, but within the rules. So....hit them hard as fuck ..that's all I got haha

Jeff Fisher would have sent a few defenders over the top with malicious intent.
If they go low, go high and trample them.
A few cleats to the back of their "QB" and they might start rethinking things.
Greg Williams wet fuckin dream out there!!! Hahaha

How bout instead of trying to get lower use their momentum and push them down and go high. Stip on them on the way to crushing the QB. I mean do something different.

I don't see why not, at this point trying anything different is a step in the right direction cause ain't shit worked for anyone. Does anyone know their actual success rate? It's gotta be insane. That Oline is incredible...Hurts is a fucking beast...we gotta tame them MFs somehow. And then worry about the damn WRs killing us on the outside. Oh and their tight end is great....oh and their runningback in the best in the league. So....yea, we better figure something out ..I liked the idea of just keeping them out of 4th and Goal or 4th and anything under 4. Lol it's gonna be a hell of a game. Our defense is gonna pose some problems...itll come down to coaching I believe.

The NFC East DCs need to figure out how to break ‘It’. They see ‘It’ 6 times a year. Once they figure ‘It’ out - the rest of the league will pick ‘It’ up. What the Eagles need to be aware of - is that whatever ‘It’ is may very likely be dangerous for Eagles players. I remember the Commodes getting tired of this shit last year and jumped offsides like 4 times in a row.

I looked it up and unfortunately a "false start" is NOT a reviewable play. So McVay can't toss the red challenge flag if he thinks the Eagles got an extra half-second head start.

I'm sure McVay will be doing everything he can to "remind" the gameday officials to call it closely.

I still think the tush push sounds like something that would have been invented by the San Francisco 69ers.
But I mean the Eagles are from the City of Brotherly Love ...so you know.

I think you have to hit Hurts with 4 or 5 hats and make him feel it so he isn't too keen on having to keep running it. That's the only way you will stop it.
Hurts bread and butter is the tush push. He’s a below average passer and a talented runner who abandons the pocket first chance he gets. His value would decline dramatically if he didn’t score 8-10 tush push TDs each year. And he thrives on being recognized - often complaining he isn’t given his due praise. So I think he is the first person advocating to run it every chance he gets.
