Whether it's Connor's or Simpson or whomever, you earn opportunities. I'd like to see both get elevated reps not so much in the next preseason game (which would be nice) but in the next joint practice.
That would be a real CRAPPY reason, IMHO. Connors better make this team.....

I agree.Totally fair to point out.
But I thought Connors looked decisive and caught the ball well.
Again.. bigger and more explosive than Hunter and Rivers. He’d be my 4th at the moment.
He might. No way. McCutcheon was nowhere close to that. If we cut Connors we will regret it. He'll go to an NFC team and hurt us, mark my words.
The comps do mean something.. we’ll disagree there. Those sort of measurable comparisons don't mean much.
McCutchen was Mike Evans 2.0 during preseason.....we all remember how that worked out.
Time will tell.
I agree.
Connors looked good. Good balance, broke tackles etc.
Hunter is faster certainly, but, again, thats just a measurable.
Rivers is interesting to me.
He is not as explosive as either one, but, he has McVays trust.
He isn't great at anything but solid at everything and if you need a fill for a couple of games, Im sure McVay would feel totally comfortable starting Rivers and not having to change his game plan.
I am pulling for Connors and would like to see him and Hunter get some return opps this preseason.
I'd have to look at the seam to the TE.
I think besides the throws is the composure and the ability with his legs to keep the play alive, t
He might.
One preseason game is too early to say anything.
That last RB spot comes down to Hunter, Connors and Waters (I think thats his name).
So, two of those guys likely headed to the practice squad.
I would imagine both Connors and Hunter and likely to get snatched up from the PS.
Connor getting snaps on ST makes sure there is absolutely a lane for him to take a spot on the roster but lets see how the rest of camp and preseason play out.I'm not necessarily keeping Rivers as a lock in this RB room. Kyren and Corum are guaranteed. 2 spots left for Rivers, Hunter, Connors, Waters. If it ends up Connors and Waters, so be it.
I WANT Connors on this 53, no overthinking and fucking around. Don't want to see him snatched up by Seattle or San Francisco. Kid's a player......

Biggest differentiator I see between him and Hunter... Connors is a very high-level receiver out of the backfield.Of course. WANT to keep though.

Digging into more of his college stuff.. I'm liking it. With Hunter's.. I saw a lot of big holes, not a ton from him.
I am thinking that Garoppolo wants to play and start if possible. I'm with the group think that he's waiting for a starter to go down and he's going to step in and try to pull a Mayfield.I think Jimmy G is history just as a matter of money.
I agree. Isn't it funny.......the Rams have such a talented squad, the comments were, "it's going to be difficult for rookies to make the 53" and then somebody like Connors comes along. Suddenly, a couple of guys targeted for the 53 get a little anxious. Again, just 1 game, mind you.Totally agree. Connors just jumps out. He's a "bruiser." We need this type of back to compliment our top 2, IMHO.
Guys like Beck are closer to the top of their team’s QB mountain. They NEED him to be challenging asap.Prior to the game, logical thinking might have suggested Ty Simpson wasn't going to prove himself or disprove himself in his first game of NFL football. But we have to be encouraged by his performance. Hell, everybody was doing cartwheels when Carson Beck went 15 of 19 for 188 yards and a TD in the HOF game. I'm not suggesting we do the same for Simpson but he was every bit as good, if not better than Beck, and that's a helluva lot better outlook than if he had gone 10 of 20 for 88 yards and a pick or two.
As Dennis Green said, "you want to crown their ass, then crown their ass". I think we need to see a lot more to know either way.
If you say so. I'm just as impressed with his layering the ball over LBs on some throws as anything else. Also loved his footwork. He showed me quite a bit last night.
I will bet you a bag of donuts not.
Only because Hunter was drafted.....
