Rams' Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley to face off in Pro Bowl

Defensive tackle Aaron Donald and punter Johnny Hekker are teammates on the Los Angeles Rams and will remain as such at Sunday's NFL Pro Bowl. But there's a third Ram in Hawaii who will be lining up across from his teammates and could find himself in the unenviable position of being pursued by Donald.
That would be rookie running back Todd Gurley, who was separated from his Rams teammates in Wednesday night's Pro Bowl draft. The annual all-star game held its selection show, with Jerry Rice representing one team and Michael Irvin heading up the other. Before the process even began, Donald was selected as one of the captains for Team Rice. Hekker was selected to the same team Tuesday.
Which left Gurley as the only Ram available for either team to choose during the televised portion of the draft Wednesday night. But before Rice could make it a clean sweep for the Rams, Irvin opted to select Gurley for his team.
So when the game kicks off Sunday night, it's entirely possible there will be moments when the Rams' two best players are lined up on opposite sides, with Donald trying to tackle Gurley.
That scenario rarely played out in practice during the 2015 season, and never with Donald actually free to tackle Gurley to the ground. Of course, the exhibition game doesn't usually yield much in the way of strong defense.
Sunday's game will be Gurley's first Pro Bowl. He's one of five rookies to earn a Pro Bowl berth this season. Donald and Hekker are each making their second Pro Bowl appearances.
The game is set for Sunday 7 p.m. ET at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu and will be broadcast live on ESPN.
