If you're wondering why the Rams kept one guy and not somebody else you like more this explains a lot of the questions going around here. It was an excellent listen and worth the price, although still no explanation for Evans, but I guess it came down to game day experience and the ability to play guard, regardless of how poorly.

They did say they like his versatility and they felt he wouldn't make it through waivers but Acurri would.

I remember when we probably had the most first rounders in the league and our team was trash.

Now we have to have close to the fewest first rounders and we're SB champions. Crazy how that works out lol.

What is taking so long for the Rams to make a move? Seems if they were going to add somebody right away, they would have done so, unless they are making sure there are no injuries.

I don’t think you need a subscription to listen to the podcast. Otherwise why would they be telling listeners to subscribe to The Athletic, and they get a discount for listening to 11 personnel?

The Los Angeles Rams opened up a roster spot on Thursday by placing Daniel Hardy on injured reserve, an expected move after he suffered a high ankle sprain in the second preseason game. They only took a day to fill that void, signing Jake Gervase to the 53-man roster.

Gervase has been off and on with the Rams for three years now, originally signing with them as an undrafted rookie in 2019. He went back and forth from the practice squad to the active roster that year, and again in 2020. Last year, he signed to the practice squad and was elevated to the active roster for the postseason, playing all four playoff games on special teams.


In total, he’s played four regular season games and four playoff games in his career but has only played 13 defensive snaps.
