The funny thing about The Trading of Jared Verse is he was a TEAM LEADER.That is not the funny thing it’s the other 2 DE’s/OLB’s that are going under the radar.

Josaiah Stewart is only 23 & he can be moved around. He is only going into his 2nd season & his IMPROVEMENT should SHINE !! His speed is impressive.

Then The Ram no one is really talking about & how much he improved & sort of TRANSFORMED
himself into more of a DE/OLB instead of a DT/DE. We have seen other Rams do that in the past.Fox not SO much, but Hoecht did it pretty well.In DEJUAN JOHNSONs case he is more of a DE/OLB that is not going to find himself in COVERAGE much.Stewart on the other hand is going to be moved around more like a wild card.

I’m just saying The Rams have a little more depth on the out than just Myles Garrett & Agent Zero.I wonder if The Rams preserve Myles during a game to keep him fresh for better quality snaps ?? The dude is a work horse though.

IMO there is a time to move on.The connections & friendships are nice.
The thing is things can get stale & other players at times need to Step Up !!
I like the way this Rams Defense might transform as a UNIT.
There is a lot change, but NATE LANDMAN is really taking OWNERSHIP out on the grass. He looks more confident & in control than last season after coming from the Falcons.
Speights as well now coming into his first season of being a Full-Time Starter. It should help they know each other much better after a season of playing next to one another.
Nate came to The Rams on a 1 year contract & midseason got that reassurance with an extension that gives a player peace of mind knowing hard work pays off.

Landman will be in control of the Front 7,while having Q Lake behind him knowing Shula(defense) well will help out with The DB’s.

Q. Lake also had his contract extended before the end of 2026(5).The Rams knowing who they want to help lead the way on Defense. This was a concern going into 2026 & with McDuffie & Walton seems like a strength.Resigning KAM Kurl as well didn’t hurt as well.KAM Kinchens switching to TUTU Atwell #5 might be a nice change.

Hoping for the best for him, even if he ends up leaving...just so long as he doesn't go to a hated team (coughWhinersaftertheyfireShanahancough).
The next headcoach of the Commodes. Calling it right now.

so, looks like we're doing some type of 4-3 / 3-4 hybrid, built around Miles Garrett.
....
I'm still gettin' used to saying we're going to build a D-Line around Miles Garrett.
Miles Garrett.
Yeah, my guess is that he'll have his hand in the ground some of the time but not all the time.

Wade Philips I think had our guys with hands on the ground a number of times in his 3-4.

Shula's gonna be another future head coach after this year, I guarantee it. What he's saying is just smart thinking. Not putting square pegs into round holes, catering the defense to its best players.

It's amazing how many coaches - even at the NFL level - don't realize that, and it's another reason why I love this current iteration of this team - the Sean McVay/Les Snead era team - so much; we've got an intelligent coaching staff that puts each player in the best position to be the best he can be, if he wants it enough.

Yeah, one of the dumbest coaching decisions I can recall was John Robinson and his young DC, Jeff Fisher, turning the 6-3" 250 lb Kevin Greene into a 4-3 DE. Went from a 14 sack guy to 4 or 5 sack guy and a ticket out of town.

Sounds like Bennett and Simpson rotating with 1s while Stafford takes rest days.

Not really - Stetson has been getting the first Team Reps. From basically what Ty Simpson is saying is he is getting what Reps are left.
First team Reps are Stetson’s Ty has to share with Mattew Caldwell as well ??
