Would have had more choices than just Staff and Aaron. Hard to say how the chess board would have played out.
Sure we could have picked up free agents like Andy Dalton. Teddy Bridgewater. Trevor Siemian. Traded for Taylor Heinecke. Or Sam Darnold.

all this debate about goff is just dumb and a waste of time...

goff said he would fuck mcvays wife, and word got back to mcvay , and goff was history...

Went from Simpson thread to Goff rehash.....

And that was what annoyed me the most with McVay after that game.

He should have stated that Goff played a good game and is his QB .... for now (in Brick's voice)..

We might have not had to give up as much in draft picks for Stafford if he had said that.

There's no way Mcvay and Snead would have acted that way if the deal for Stafford wasn't already done. They're not that stupid.

But that was a very bad look, mocking Goff that way.

Goff just had his 2 worst Ram years, discounting 2016 of course which DOES NOT count. This coming directly after the bad Super Bowl. Maybe Les + Sean thought Jared wasnt INVESTED enough in OWNING the Offense? Goff can seem a little aloof. I think he had just gotten engaged or married, i think McSnead thought Jared wasn't as DEDICATED as he could have been. Sean wants you to EAT, BREATHE, SHIT, this Offense, 24/7. Jared not that type, IMHO.

On a good future note, I believe Simpson IS.

There's no doubting Goff slackened off with game planning in the 20 season. Mcvay hinted at it in his pressers after the games. That was the end of him for Mcvay.

But that doesn't excuse the way he and Snead acted in the day before the trade was announced. They had obviously set up a deal with Holmes way before the announcement was made. The snark they showed towards Goff was unprofessional. Mcvay admitted as much.

All true, though I gotta say, it definitely did not bother me at the time. I was as done with him as they were.

But let me say, Goff definitely surprised me in his Detroit era, I thought his career was ready to be done and he proved me wrong.

Eric the Clown (played by Jon Favreau) put-out the grease fire, with his Big Shoe.

George stepped on his girlfriend’s grandmother’s leg as he pushed aside children to escape the fire.

When later asked by a firefighter How he could live with himself, George replied … “It’s not easy”

One of the best scenes in Seinfeld for sure.
When you have to be straightened out by a clown, you think you've hit an all-time low but then you prove you can even go lower.
My second favorite scene is watching Elaine dance at an office party.
And then the next day, one of the scenarios for the catalog put forth by a coworker describes "natives dancing". Too funny. I never found Seinfeld himself to be that funny but the cast couldn't have been any better. I was lucky enough to talk to Michael Richards when he came to Charleston for a Scottish Rite Freemason meeting.

I've always wondered.
If he didn't know who "Bozo" was, how did he know George was hung up on the clown from the 60s?
These are the kind of questions that keep me up at night.
Eric could only deduce that, since his own memory only went back to late 70's/early 80's. Interestingly enough, Jon Favreau who is my age (60) should have the same Total Recall of Bozo as I do. So they had him playing a much younger guy.

And by the way, I'm fully on the side of George in this argument.

I know I've mentioned this before on here but I think it's interesting that every TV station had their own person dressing up like Bozo, (for the most part) and he would introduce cartoons and episodes of Gumby.
Important history here! :)
