I am one that can be unfair to Bennett, but I knew there were underlying issues with him, plus I just thought he was not that good.Feel the same way about the QB room.

What do you think the odds of that happening are?Bennett greatly improving.
There! I provided another reason.
He is not that good regardless of his noggin being on straight.I am one that can be unfair to Bennett, but I knew there were underlying issues with him, plus I just thought he was not that good.
Couldn't guess...What do you think the odds of that happening are?
My arguement is that if Ty can't beat Bennett out in camp, this year, than he was not the caliber of player the Rams thought he was...Yes there could be a reason or two.
Improvement of a more experienced Stetson Bennett.
OR
A potential gameplan of having Ty Simpson sit for a year.
It appears to me that most rookie QBs probably are just given their jobs because of their draft position and not because they actually beat someone out. And that is whether it is for a starting role or as a backup. Sorta makes sense. With limited snaps in camp teams have got to make an early decision and feed that guy as many snaps as possible to make sure he's ready.
COWARD!!!!!Couldn't guess...
But if Bennett ends up QB2, I think the odds that Bennett showed very well and/or improved are higher than the odds that it's because Simpson disappointed.
This is patently false. Rams took, and are taking the long view with Simpson. They knew they were taking him for weeks, months, and were still trying to ink Garoppolo. My arguement is that if Ty can't beat Bennett out in camp, this year, than he was not the caliber of player the Rams thought he was...
He is not that good regardless of his noggin being on straight.
I am a big fan of Stetson.Honestly, if Stetson Bennett and Ty Simpson both show well, I'd deal Bennett to a team that needs an above-average backup quarterback for a pick.
I would say he looks more stoned in this picture than drunk.
I concur and as long as it's under control, nothing wrong with it. But I just always viewed him as a party guy, nothing more.I would say he looks more stoned in this picture than drunk.
That was my look after my first kiss.I would say he looks more stoned in this picture than drunk.
I think the Rams drafted him because they believe he's a very good prospect that while he may need some work should absolutely be better than Bennett off the bat who is a substandard backup who couldn't win the QB 2 job while here. You don't actually think the Rams drafted Simpson because they NEEDED him at QB2 in 2026, do you?
Unfortunately he has not even proven to be an AVERAGE backup. But has he really proven that he's a above average backup or is he just another question mark you bring in to try out?
Bennett has NOTHING to do with Simpson. Had Garoppolo re-upped the room would be:I think the Rams drafted him because they believe he's a very good prospect that while he may need some work should absolutely be better than Bennett off the bat who is a substandard backup who couldn't win the QB 2 job while here.
If he is not better than Bennett off the bat, sure he might end up being good but I think that's a slim chance.
Clear eyes, full heart, can't lose!
It's so amazing that some can't see something as simple as this. Or dont want to....You can put all your expectations of Simpson for this season and delay them to next year. The plan is to red shirt him. If Bennett isn't good enough they will get someone else rather than stick Simpson out there. That won't mean they made a bad pick or that they are disappointed in him. Although the media and some here will read it that way. They picked him at 13 because that was there only shot at him and they had bigger plans for next years #1. Not because they think he could start this year. They got him because he showed attributes that they think, with proper coaching, he will grow into at the very least a very good QB. He is a project. You may not like that they spent pick 13 on a project, but that is what they did.
100% agree. Once he left the team, IMO he's not shown any measurable improvement. I wouldn't be surprised if Simpson passes him on the depth chart. Plus, I agree with you about Jimmy G. I think if the Rams need him, he'll come back.I am one that can be unfair to Bennett, but I knew there were underlying issues with him, plus I just thought he was not that good.
It's amazing you can't take one observation and put it in front of the other.Bennett has NOTHING to do with Simpson. Had Garoppolo re-upped the room would be:
1. Stafford
2. JG
3. Ty
You're just taking your gratuitous cheap shots at the kid because of your mis-diagnosis pre-draft. Have at it, if it helps, I guess.
