I believe every first-round draft choice contract is fully guaranteed.

I just checked... Simpson should get around 24-25 million fully guaranteed with the first year being around 5 million, then 6, then 7, then 8... and then the fifth year option.

This is an outrage. Simpson should be traded now. Given Snead's historical trading skills of failed draft picks, we should get a 6th round pick, or at least a 7th round pick with a bag of chips.

Yes it does.
If it’s McVay, then I’m good and not concerned.
If it’s the agent, then I’m a bit concerned for the kid because he’s getting bad advice.

Regardless, I think one or both sides will concede today and he’ll be signed - and ready to go Day 1 of TC (I hope).
