I'd take Daniels over Simpson. Dude willed his team into the playoffs as a rookie and can sling it. You're entitled to your opinion, but you are way off to me. Injuries will be the only thing that derail the kid but that's any player.

I believe that McVay and all coaches want their QBs to be be elite. But, I struggle with the idea that this is a need for McVay.
Goff? IMO, the turnovers and the lack of off schedule playmaking ability along with (as I recall) admitting something to the media that McVay didn't like probably ended his run. But, probably most importantly, the very rare opportunity that someone like Stafford became available. If that doesn't happen they might have even mended fences that offseason for lack of a better option.

Yeah I'd take a rookie of the year with McVay over a project. However, do you have something against RG3? Did he shit in your cereal? Pretty disingenuous to put Daniels in that same category as RG3 but then again, thats how you are I guess. Daniels to me shows more than RG3 as a QB.

Their similarities are that they are both Washington, both 2nd overall picks, both had amazing rookie seasons followed by injury plagued sophomore seasons, and both are skinny-ish running quarterbacks which is not going to cut it in this league. What Daniels did in his first year is awesome. Watch, that will be the best season he ever has.
Supposedly the kid is a sponge. Given the situation he's in......with a highly intelligent, successful head coach, mentored by a HOF QB......I expect great things from Simpson when he's handed the keys to this Ferrari. No hurry. But it is eventually going to happen. McVay may coach into his 50's!!!!!

He doesn't have it and that's nuts? Yeah, I think that more so applies to your statement, its nuts. Daniels actually has proved himself, Simpson hasn't done anything. One was drafted much higher than the other. I wouldn't be surprised if with better protection, Daniels goes off. Unfortunately most QBs will not be productive without protection which is basically what happened to Daniels. The toothpick argument is dumb imo, he just needs to learn to slide or give up on a play. Part of learning the position for him is to figure that part out.

I'm not falling back on anything. Literally said only injuries can derail him like any other player. If that happens, reality is he's fucked no matter the potential. Guess Simpson's nuts are so close in proximity to your face, ya just don't see it. That's ok to have that confidence already, I'm not mad at that at all. I'm not ready to proclaim him as the next best thing, just watching, rooting, and waiting to see what truly goes down.
Right, so Daniels is GREAT, but injuries. Bro, if youre a skinny running Quarterback thats an injury-case you aint great, youre a running back or wide receiver playing out of position. And he's not that good from the pocket either. One Hail Mary does not a career make.

Oh ok, I see change the direction of the conversation by including other QBs, got you..... huge difference when you start comparing him to actual NFL QBs that both have shown it on the field vs Simpson who hasn't barely practiced. I stand by saying if you paired Daniels and McVay, he'd be way better than Simpson as Daniels did this with a much less impressive offensive coordinator and defensive minded head coach. Funny thing is we now have that coordinator in Kingsbury on the Rams coaching staff so go figure. Now to Caleb and Maye, I always personally viewed both as extremely top tier QBs coming out and rated higher than Daniels so probably not the argument to make with me if you don't know my opinion about them. I view Daniels as a step below them arm talent wise but to almost have a 70% completion rate as a rookie is damn impressive and something every team would salivate to work with. None of Daniels talent will matter if he doesn't get protection and doesn't learn to take unnecessary hits. This is literally the same conversation being had about Dart who is much bigger than Daniels so there's that too.

Re-aggravated it because his dumb ass coach brought him back too early. No big injuries to stop him from bouncing back but stay making shit up about injury prone. You're very good at this and prove it time and time again. At least you are consistent though so kudos.
