Jaylin Noel from Iowa State posted a 4.39 40, 41.5 vert, bench rep 225lbs 23 times, broad of 11"2, 20 yard shuttle of 4.17. Now all of these are top 10 at his position and some number one. Hes incredible athletic posting this kind of work out and his film shows the same athlete on the field. Standing 5 "11 194lbs and posting a stat line of 80 rec 1194 yards and 8 TD's leaving the cyclones as its all time 2nd leading receiver and 3rd all time for yards. His combine blows Puka's out of the water but we all know pure athleticism and good college/combine results doesn't always translate to the NFL. However its not like he didn't play against good competition putting up one of his better games against number 13 Miami on the pop tart bowl (Yeah that one) with 8 rec for 117 yards and a TD. he did this with a middle of the road QB Rocco Becht. There's at least 15 bigger named receivers that will hear their named called before Noel is even mentioned, allowing him to fall a bit. Hes putting up Tutu type speed with DK Metcalf type power and explosiveness. He might even fall lower just due to where he played and not having tremendous output compared to some of these other guys. Anyone watched this kid and take notice of what he was doing at the combine?

Iowa St has some dudes in this draft. I also like Noel even though one of his knocks are drops as well as blocking. But in the few games I've watched he seems to get after the ball in traffic. Really think that's the element the Rams keep missing on with wideouts. I don't care what size the guy they draft is. What I care about is whether he thinks that ball is his.

Drops yes but he doesn't fumble, here lately what NFL receiver isn't dropping balls. All the top big names lead the league in drops, anyone not a good trait I agree coming out of college.

Very curious what Rams do with both our 3rd round picks. Definitely see scenario where they trade back from one.

I'd be stunned if Noel was there at pick 100. Some have him at end of the 1st. Can't see him getting through both the 2nd and a majority of the 3rd round particularly with this weak WR FA class.

Not a big fan of developing hands blocking ok hands no way.
Not early anyway, maybe as a 4th or 5th but that 3rd is very valuable to us as it stands
