How much harm can it cause? Before he said anything inflammatory, they ringed him up for his 1st down celebration he literally does EVERY TIME!
How can it get worse? NOT calling a PI? Maybe. I'd be more concerned if he were a DB. I'd expect 10 DPIs the next few weeks....
The harm it could potentially cause would be resentment among the refs as a group. Not productive, as those refs are human and may bear grudges.
But it is also why I said it's "minor." Which is a key distinction in this conversation.

We don't need these distractions before a game that will define our season. Poor McVay with a new baby, big game, short week, and dealing with this too. Anyway I hope Puka STFU for now. I would imagine his ref comments will warrant a fine? I hope we don't have any close/controversial plays with him in the game. He hasn't done us any favors here ...

OK guys we’re way too old to understand what’s going on here. These streamers are purposely making up shit and clip farming just to get views and to get people to do exactly what we’re doing in here….talk about them…
Not smart but not a big deal. I remember him getting tossed from a game last year(?) for something very minor and flagged for his trademark ball spin this year.
And I wouldn’t encourage saying anything but perhaps it will keep some bs call from happening. The other way around feeds his take.

Puka is young and is becoming a legit SUPERSTAR. That means he's going to be recorded ALL THE TIME and every time he shows his age, has a regular persons typical stupid moment, a video will be out there waiting to go viral because of these people dying to gobble it up so they can share it while clutching their pearls.
This is the definition of a 1st place problem imo.
Worst case scenario? He gets fined.
Even worse worst case scenario? He gets fined and catches some more flack over it and he becomes more guarded, more mechanical and PR trained with his words so he can be a Probot with no personality like all the others and slowly Puka loses even the smallest part of the joy he has for this game...
Have we had it so good for so long that we need to find something else to fret about? Can we go back to complaining about Staffords wife? Where's Brenda Warner when we need her.....

Puka's speculating why refs make bad calls. Like all of us do. We have our opinions about it. It sure seems to me that good teams get more benefit of the doubt than bad teams. Bad teams get flagged more for borderline calls. As far as wanting to be noticed on national TV, that is definitely a possibility.
Almost all of us think and say these things but it’s not like the refs or our bosses give a shit.

He’s not just some goof out there. He’s a professional football player and a superstar at that.

The worst thing that COULD happen is any form of suspension. It would be bad news if he was suspended at all.
Imagine not having him AND Tae tomorrow night. That would be HUUGE. Puka is young. Hopefully he learns from this.
Good thing here is Puka's a smart kid so I doubt he'll do that type of thing again. It's more a "welcome to super stardom" type of lesson than anything else. Everyone's gonna be recording you now. Your opinion on everything has value for click impact, thus value.

I understand that 2 times doesn’t make a habit. But it isn’t a good look.
