KW ROCKED!!! It was my opinion that McVay didn't use him enough passing out of the backfield though. When it come to breaking the big runs KW was most times leaning forward a little too much which would cause him to stumble. He needs that Eric Dickerson posture after getting through the line and run upright!

I am pretty shocked he managed it. If a player fumbles that far into his career, that consistently, all throughout college, and well into the NFL, it does not typically get better. Somehow he found a way! Williams deserves huge props!

He gets labeled as a player that fumbles a lot, but he has 10 fumbles in four years.

Gurley had 11 in his first four
SJax had 13
Marshall had 20
Bettis had 20
Dickerson had 49 (thanks for the correction @Allen2McVay )

Sorry ... little confused ... are you saying Dickerson had ONE Career fumble?!?

Dickerson fumbled ... A LOT!

I thought so, but not according to espn.

Edit: You’re right. Any lesser player would have been out of the league. Pro football reference has him at 49 in four seasons.

As it stands, Kyren is doing just fine. He’s had two really poorly timed fumbles, and that’s what stands out in people’s minds. I don’t think he has a fumbling problem.

Unfortunately, ESPN is wrong ... WAY Wrong.

Dickerson had 78 career fumbles (checked three different sources) ... 50+ just with the Rams.

Heck, he fumbled twice in the 1985 NFC Championship Game alone.

Yeah he only had 1….in 1992.
Unfortunately 78 in his career.

Insane. Actually looking at a bunch of these all time greats is pretty eye opening when it comes to fumbles. I’m surprised that so many of them let the ball hit the ground that often

Let’s put it in perspective:

-KWill was used very sparingly his first year.
-So in 3 years he’s lost 7 fumbles in the regular season and 1 fumble in 6 playoff games.
I look at fumbles, not fumbles lost. Who recovers a fumble is so luck based, that what matters is that you don't put the ball on the ground. I think the impression that he had a fumbling problem comes from the fact that over a stretch of 7 games in 2024 he had 5 fumbles. Since then, he has done a very good job with ball security. Over his next 27 games he has had only 3 fumbles. I agree 100% that fumbles at critical times stick in people's minds, adding to their impression of a fumbling issue.

Do you look at interceptions or turnover-worthy passes?
