We obviously had high school refs in NY's replay room last week. They don't even know what "uncontrovertable evidence is". It's all that is keeping the Rams from being 3-1 against some damn good competition

If I had my way, the human refs would be secondary to a massive Hawkeye system that would use AI/wire framing along with ball sensors to make most calls and EVERY CALL would automatically reviewed in real time so elevating shitty refs to the next level is less of an issue

You're worried about guiding games now and you want to hand it over to ai computer systems? Good luck with that.

Future AI refs intently observing a recent NFL game. "These human subjects are easily led."

You say that on a forum housed on a computer using a computer. They run our banking, stocks, transportation, electric grid… and a gazillion other thing and AI is gonna be deployed ASAP whether it is done responsibly or not

Good luck to us all, really

Also, MLB is gonna be implementing a digital strike zone, so… yeah

I knew there was a reason they didn't show the replay. These refs are fucking useless. Wouldn't know their heads from their arse. Or they know exactly what they're doing.

Which one is it @AvengerRam

Bad officiating doesn’t prove that the league fixes outcomes.

TV producers choosing not to highlight bad/missed calls does not prove that the league fixes outcomes.

Believe whatever you wish to believe.

I didn't mention what I believed. I gave two different scenarios. I was just clowning with you since you're the bastion of fair play by the nfl.

If it was just an occasional call once in a while then it would be just bad officiating. But go ahead and do a deep dive into all the totally bogus calls and non-calls each week then say it isn't purposeful. Nullifying Tutu's TD was pure unadulterated point shaving. By their own guidelines that play should have stood. The ref right there didn't call it. It was called from NY. That is the most damning part and something that is happening a lot this season.

Clearly, you haven’t actually read my posts. I’ve never suggested the officiating is beyond reproach.

Again… bad officiating does NOT equal fixed games.

If you don’t understand the distinction, I can’t help you.

Please, just tell me what happened in the 2019 game against the stealers. All turnovers and tds went to New York so they could green light them or overturn them.

I would like to show video footage of each turnover and the stealers 1st td but I can't be bothered trying to find them. It's too difficult. I'm sure you know and remember them.

So they go to New York and they green light every one in favour of the stealers within seconds when they clearly show the Rams should have kept possession of the ball. One of which was the Goff fumble that was taken back to the house for 6 points. There wasn't a single person on earth that saw that play and thought Goff's hand wasn't moving forward when the ball popped out. Yet with video evidence showing exactly that they green light the turnover and td within seconds.

People sitting in front of a video screen that can watch a play in slow mo and multiple times do not make bad officiating decisions on something so blatantly obvious.

If you can't come to terms with that then I can't help you.

You guys should look at the Chiefs game last Sunday. The Chiefs were caught blantantly holding allowing Mahomes to run for a first down. Just one of many issues in that game.

Until there was a full game of announcers questioning how a particular Chiefs OL was allowed to false start and illegally align did the NFL feel forced to stop it. The offender played for 4 years on another team in that same manner while never being flagged. If that's what it takes to make the NFL stop something then there is something wrong because officiating in all games is graded by the NFL. Again what their official guidelines are and what they actually call are two different things.

Basically it comes down to selective enforcement which is wrong.

Let me type slower so you will understand…

B A D O F F I C I A T I N G…? YES.

F I X…? NO.

If, every time you see bad officiating, you want to shake your fist and rail against “the man,” “the system,” “big corporations” or some other imagined nefarious conspirator plotting against the Rams (or some other team), be my guest.

Leave me out of it.

in other words you have no explanation.

we're talking about the suits in new york looking at a video screen to determine if a turnover is actually a turnover or a td is actually a td. where are you getting bad officiating from? the officials already made their bad decision, it's up to someone else to confirm it. it should be very easy to overturn a bad decision. alas, every bad decision was confirmed.

That Doesnt Seem Fair Doctor Strange GIF by Disney+

please parrot something else because that wasn't bad officiating after the initial bad officiating.

As to fixing games - no

Slightly assisting teams that the NFL wants to win - maybe with a trend towards yes
