We can afford one more loss. But this game is not the one we can afford to lose. I expect a loss the following week against Buffalo. The other 5 games there is no room for error. It won't be easy but its doable. Of course a win over Buffalo would give us a little wiggle room. Our offense might keep up for a while. But I just don't see our defense containing Josh Allen. But that is not the focus this week. Gotta beat times like New Orleans if you want to be taken seriously.

I am afraid there's more than one loss pending in the rest of the schedule.

Buffalo's pass game is going to torch our secondary. That's one loss. The three division games will bring at least one loss, but probably more. I wouldn't even say the Jets are an easy game because that front might blow our OL out of the water.

If the Rams are going to make a run this OL has to suddenly be good and remain good. That seems very unlikely to me. And I hate being negative too. But this team is relying on too many guys who are up and down snap to snap let alone game to game.

Our oline is made of glass.
The Eagles DL made them look terrible. Would Havenstein made a difference? I don't know. AJ didn't have a great game at LT. We gave up 5 sacks and in the previous four games, we had 3 games with none. But the 4th was a 4 sack performance by Miami. Still haven't had all 5 of our "best" guys together. If that doesn't happen soon, we're in a bad situation.

I think our Oline would look a whole heck of a lot better if we started to roll Stafford out of the pocket some, play with more 12 or 13 personnel, run some screens to Tight ends and running backs , run some WR sweeps, play Corum more. We are dropping Stafford straight back like a freaking piñata wayy too much and running maybe 2 or 3 different rushing plays with Kyren. The league has caught onto this offense. I like McVay but when are we gonna start pointing at the coaching?

It is always easy to play that game. Then you go 12 set and hold one in to block and since our TEs block like dog shit no blocking happens, and the other one in the pattern can't separate from a fucking LB half the time. So that means all the defense has to do is sit on Kupp and Nacua. At least in 11 you have a reasonable chance of whoever is our third WR getting open in a timely manner.

This is not to say I think McVay is blameless schematically. But the problems with players goes so deep starting with the OL that it's hard to get too serious about that shit. People sang the same song last season until the OL started playing well and then all of a sudden we were a dangerous team to play. It wasn't McVay turns out, but the fucking line. Do you really think the league doesn't know every fucking season what McVay's gonna do? Of course they know, but often they can't stop it because it comes down to players executing. And players are where our problems lie.

So for myself I think McVay deserves to have the finger pointed at him for how it seems like his OL plays like it's a two hand touch league until midseason. Can't tell me that isn't related to his "let's rest everyone we might remotely want to play during the season" approach for preseason. But in the end none of that shit matters. This roster is on him. The FA additions are on him. Don't think for a minute Snead stacks this roster without McVay's agreement. They work together on this shit. So there is no end of blame. But even with all his faults McVay is still the best coach we've had, and when the players get upgraded the fans who think scheme is some kind of magic spell will be reminded of that.

"McVay said that Jackson “aggravated his foot” in Sunday’s game and it didn’t feel as good as they hoped it would as the week progressed. “Didn’t expect it to be an issue (initially)” and proceeded out of caution.
Sean McVay said Alaric Jackson did participate in the closed walkthrough today and he expects him to play Sunday."

6 games left. 5 are winnable. But we could also lose them. We could win tomorrow. But we're not likely to beat Buffalo. That leaves 4 games with teams that are beatable. Our problem is we are beatable too. But at least we won't be going into those games thinking we have no chance. Its not much, but its all we got at this point.

Yeah-we are fucking doomed this season either way if we scheme around it or not. Im just saying to give our team a better shot and to not have successive 3 and outs I don’t understand the stubbornness. I remember down the stretch in 2020 when we were pounding Sonny and Akers out of the double TE sets with Goff we at least kept the defense fresh. Why does Corum only get 1 carry? Why no jet sweeps? Stafford has shown he is really capable rolling out and throwing but it’s like McVay forgets constantly. I don't remember the last play we ran under center. I have no faith in this offense and I think the Saints will likely beat us. I hope Im wrong

In my opinion, McVay should mix in Tutu more often. It seems like good things happen when he plays. His speed opens thing up for other receivers and it seems like he makes timely catches and draws PI every so often.

McVay is so smart that he's smarter than Football 101.
I think it's just too simple for him. :)

Looks like Big rob is back and Higs possible here soon. Now is the time for this o'line/ Offense to kick in and post 30+ like it was said to do. Saints can/will post 30+

We need to run 12 personell more and get the TE's involved. If we lose here, saints are right back in the playoff picture and we are prob out of it.

Tough season all around for NFL football. Quality of the product is extremely bad this year. Watched college football yesterday and couldn't believe the difference in entertainment value and just overall disciplined gameplay.

Not sure what to expect in this game. Only one quality win all season (Vikings game).

I've been contemplating skipping the game today fellas. First time in years. Just don't feel like watching pre-season quality football anymore.

NFL better fix the product soon. This WWE.....Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson oversaturated bullshit is taking its toll on my Fandom.

To my Rams bruddah's who still believe, I hope our team finds a way to get their shit together!

I'm probably going to watch this one but I'm not too far away from you on this. Think the game I'll skip is Buffalo. Not only will that be a probable beat down for the Rams but if I don't watch it maybe they win just to spite me. :laugh3:
